Well I can now view statements online but no money showing up & the £60 I got Friday hasn't been deducted as yet...They're saying 20 branches are open today, but when I looked at the link, the are only EIGHT open in Northern Ireland today! So anyone living in remote parts of the country is going to have quite a trek to get to one today!

Thanks for all you suggestions. I have just spent the last few hours trying everything!!

Checked the website and they now say that internet is fixed, so have submitted message to Natwest for them to call me explain why I still can not access internet banking.

If they can not fix it then I am done with Natwest, I can not be with a bank that can not offer me internet banking (I have an EISA fgs!)

I still can't get into online banking either!
ISA savings: £25,139 Other Savings: £1750 (tied up in bond)

The latest info states -:[Our online service is currently experiencing technical issues so many customers will be unable to log in. For those customers who can log in, balances may not be up to date and the ability to make payments or transfers may be restricted. We are continuing to work on a resolution to this.
Now they are saying there's no technical issues with the online service, just being overloaded by the spike in demand.
The online system is working but we currently have a large number of people trying to access it, which might be why you are experiencing difficulties. We apologise for the inconvenience and would suggest trying again later today.

We are having the same problem, we are waiting for money out of natwest to go into our LLoyds account and have been waiting for the Fast payment since thursday morning, still hd no show, so yes i think the customers of natwest are the ones getting their wages etc, only problm is, lloyds arent giving money on the trust of money going into their bank like natwest are so im not too sure what im going to do if this isnt sorted by tomorrow!

This could be something to do with banks doing their processing runs at different times. NatWest (in normal times at least) do their end-of-week run overnight Fri/Sat, whereas I think Lloyds/Halifax may do theirs Sun/Mon for transactions up to Friday? -- not quite sure.

As NW are only getting through their processing backlog over this weekend, I'm not quite sure how this will affect balances at Lloyds or elsewhere, as normally for processing purposes a weekend transaction would be treated as Monday.

So far NW seem to have been putting the right dates on all the catch-up transactions (e.g. for NW customers Friday's are appearing dated as Friday), but as they're being inputted over the weekend, how will other banks treat them? -- will they still catch the Sunday night runs (if that's when the 3rd-party bank normally does them), or will they arrive as a Monday transaction and not be processed till Monday night?

    LATER EDIT AFTER LOGGING IN
Having now logged in today, and kept screenshots of what I've been seeing on every visit, there are some significant differences between the various checks.

Taking Thursday 21st as an example, there were the following transactions either lined up or done on the day:
1x Faster Payment out (scheduled in advance).
1x inter-account TF from current to savings (set up in advance).
1x ATM cash withdrawal in branch.
1x cheque banking over the counter in branch.

Looking back over screenshots taken, this has been what I've seen:

    Thursday 21st 18:56
    Summary screen
Both FPs gone, and cash withdrawal showing.
    Statement screen
    Same as summary.
(chq banking not showing, but that's normal till overnight processing -- after that it's listed but wouldn't credit to the available balance till Monday)

    Friday 22nd (1) 13:03
    Summary
Same as Thursday check -- same balances and same Thursday transactions showing. Nothing listed for that day, Friday.
    Statement
Thursday transactions previously listed disappeared, except the ATM -- but further transactions for Friday transactions are now listed: 2 payments in + 2 more FPs outwards (set up in advance).

    Friday 22nd (2) 19:30
    Summary
Updated from several hours previously. Thursday transactions now listed (including banking) and also Friday's. Balances updated.
    Statement
    Not available.

    Saturday 23rd (1) 08:11
    Summary
Same as Friday evening check -- all Thu/Fri transactions still listed. Balances correct.
    Statement
    Not available

    Saturday 23rd (2) 22:13
    Summary
    Same as earlier morning check.
    Statement
All of Thursday transactions disappeared, bar ATM.
    Friday transactions in/out are there.

    Sunday 24th 15:26
    Summary
    Changed, and balances updated.
    Friday in/out transactions still there.
Thursday transactions now reappeared but dated Monday 25th.
    Statement
No Thurs or Fri transactions listed at all, not even ATM: it goes up to the end of Wednesday 20th only.

On every day so far, even when the Thurs TF to savings was showing on the current a/c screens, it hasn't showed up at the other end on the savings a/c summary, and it still isn't.

I'll check again later but am not really expecting too much will change till tomorrow.
