Are those of you who were accepted for the 18 month deal getting balance tranfer request slips in with your credit agreement? My wife got that sent through with her 6 month offer. If the same is being sent out to the lucky ones it may be worth filling that out in the hope your limit may cover theamount you need.

Yes, there is a request slip, but having already made a BT request online, didn't tempt providence with more at the moment - but it may be (who knows) that all of us with 18 month agreement had already applied for BTs.
    ?????

Can't remember exact wording but indication was that BTs already applied for would be dealt with on receipit of signed agreement, but whether the whole amount will be met remains to be seen.

From memory, even though I binned mine because I was one of the 6 month 0% people, the agreement you sign actually has a box saying something like "tick this box if you do not wish to proceed with original balance transfer".

I'm going from memory, as I didn't really look at it in detail - once I saw the 6 month thing I lost interest.

Capital One certainly are the Nottingham Forest of the credit card world.

    Useless. :)

I was one of the lucky ones too - 18mths at 0%. I applied through the link on this forum and got the we will contact you with our decision message. I did ask for a BT on my application - hpoe this will be covered by the credit limit.

Not sure what the criteria is on who gets what, but I currently have 4 current credit cards - an egg with 0 balance which I've had for a few years(I like to keep this so it shows a long term 'relationship' with one card provider). I have another 2 cards with balances (one is 6 months old, the other 1 month old), and a final one with £2 credit!).

Does anyone know if Capital allow BT's to non credit/store card accounts?

I rec'd the 18 month approval yesterday after getting the 10-14 day message originally using Martin's original link.

I applied on-line for £14K to be transferred from Egg so hopefully I'll get a decent limit.

Says on the paperwork that if the limit is less, then the balance transferred will be adjusted accordingly.

No mention of a balance ytransfer fee anywhere

Just been on the phone to chase up Cap 1 about my application for the 18 month deal.
Turns out I`ve been accepted for the SIX month one which I promptly told them to stick up their a*s*.
They tried to make out that any application made from a third party website link, i.e. MSE ,was unauthorised and the 18 month was by invitation only.
I also told them to remove their search from the two credit reference agencies, which they promised to.
It is also true that they expect you to sign the CC agreement before they tell you your limit.
I said to them it`s like going into a car showroom and buying a car without knowing the price `til after you sign for it and drive it away.
I said that I had never heard of any CC company that did things that way and expected people to sign blind not knowing their limit.
Cap 1 is an american company, enough said.

I got an acceptance letter for the 18 month 0% offer today, after applying via the link posted on MSE. I originally got the "we'll contact you" message.

As others have said there was no mention of the credit limit (other than up to 25k), so I'm probably going to wait and see what others get before returning the form.

Got 18 month 0% Platinum CC Agreement in post today.
Applied via the link off this site and got the 'we will consider your application' message.

I did not ask for a balance transfer when I applied. I have had a Capital One in the past, cancelled it 3 months a go.

5 days a go got a refusal from Virgin (MBNA), said 'after consideration of my current lending arrangements with MBNA' --- I don't have any !

In the past I have balance transferred a lot of money out of MBNA at 0% or very low interest rates. I think they have me down as someone they can't make a profit out of.
