If you'll get it in store, I wonder if you can get that TV on a 0% for 3 months or similar deal then pay "instalments" with your CC. Pay first instalment, do faster payment, pay second instalment, do another faster payment, watch the baffled faces of the people who take your payments :D

Why would their faces be baffled? Surely they expect people to pay it back?

No letter for me either yet. :(. Was getting a little hopeful, currently have a £250 limit, good credit history, and have put quite a bit of spending through. If the limit were to be increased to £500, that would have been jolly convenient.

Yes, but not make a payment every five minutes and repay everything in half an hour with the same card over and over. Although they'll probably smile when you tell them why you're doing that.

I got curry's to knock £50 off something last time I purchased from them. It was over £800 and I had to pay with my debit card, but that's still more than the 3% I would of got using a credit card.

Faster payments arent *that* quick though ie: I sent some money to the Aqua card, and it was scheduled for today, so I guess at 00:01, and it still hasn't updated

Strange, I did a faster payment on Sunday, and my balance was updated within 2 hours, and has been each time I've done it. I've each spent £350 one morning, made a faster payment and spent another £300 in the afternoon!

Hi not sure if any of you can help but I applied for a card approx 3 weeks ago and got a letter back to say its been accepted and I signed the agreement and sent it back almost 2 weeks ago now but not heard anything, is this normal?
Also Do you get the cash back at the end of the year anniversary of when the card was taken out or a certain date, as I know capital one is January Tia

Yes they are very slow compared to others, but worth the wait for the rewards available.:)

And cashback is on the card anniversary, so will be around mid November 2013 for you depending on when they actually produce your card.

Just had my limit raise from £1600 -> £1850 although I've reached £100 cashback already so unlikely to use it apart from keeping the card acitve.
