Aqua Reward Credit Card - 3% cashback up to £100/year

1) It states "direct debit date 7th December", "direct debit amount 112.55£". I already repaid that amount, will they get those money by direct debit anyway?
Perhaps someone here knows what Aqua do but be prepared for it to be taken.2) Am I paying to receive the paper statement? Should I switch to online-only somehow?
I am not aware you that you can go paperless but you probably don't want to do that as certain information (like cashback) is ONLY on the paper statements.0 -

Not quite. Aqua card is part of SAV Credit Ltd., nothing to do with halifax, they're who your agreement is with.
However, aqua have outsourced the statements/customers service/etc. to halifax, so one is talking to HBOS staff when calling CS.0 -
I received my first paper statement. Two questions:
1) It states "direct debit date 7th December", "direct debit amount 112.55£". I already repaid that amount, will they get those money by direct debit anyway?
2) Am I paying to receive the paper statement? Should I switch to online-only somehow?
1. When did you repay that amount? If it was on or after your statement date they will still take the DD amount. However you can stop them taking it as long as you call them at least 5 days before the DD is due.
2. No you are not paying for paper statement. I belive credit card companies are legally obliged to provide paper statements and you cannot opt for online only.0 -

No this isn't correct in general.
I'm paperless for CapitalOne.
I don't know if Aqua offer a paperless facility though and certainly don't provide all info on-line.0 -

My AA (MBNA) and Tesco CCs are online only. All I get is an email saying "Your latest statement is now available for download".
When I setup my DD with Aqua, they told me on the phone that regardless of what I paid manually, they would always take the amount specified on the statement.0 -
Hi not sure if any of you can help but I applied for a card approx 3 weeks ago and got a letter back to say its been accepted and I signed the agreement and sent it back almost 2 weeks ago now but not heard anything, is this normal?
Also Do you get the cash back at the end of the year anniversary of when the card was taken out or a certain date, as I know capital one is January Tia
Hi I have recently sent back all the paperwork as well and was wondering if you had received your card yet so I could have a heds up as to when mine would arrive?
Has anyone been declined once they have sent back the paperwork as I still have doubts the card will arrive?
Also no mention of credit limit when they sent back paperwork?0 -

I have mine setup to pay the full amount by DD but as the credit limit is low I usually make a manual payment half way through. The DD is always for the full amount regardless of manual payments made.0 -

So if I make often manual payment might be a good idea to set the direct debit to the minimum payment I guess.
Or would I risk to pay interests in that way?0 -
You risk paying interest if you do not pay the statement off in full.
What are you trying to acheive?
Max cahsback with a small credit limit or what?0 -

My DD is set as the minimum, I pay off the balance as soon as my statement is produced, which typically makes my account £5 in credit by DD date (I could adjust my manual payment, but meh). If I spend over £250 by the end of any week, I make a manual payment that week as well. DD is only there to prevent me getting a late payment charge. Works perfect, as my statement day is also my pay date, so lots of cash available.0
