Aqua Reward Credit Card - 3% cashback up to £100/year

When I've got the card I was told on the phone that I could ask for the limit increase in 3 months. However it says 6 months on the website.
Did anybody have the limit increased earlier than in 6 months?0 -
Same as the Aqua above (available credit) but not available !
Money in the bank according to the statement but not available to spend !!
What I'm saying is that on every online banking site I've ever looked after depositing a cheque, the "available funds" sum doesn't increase until the cheque clears, although the "total funds" sum does. So I'd expect that if it says "available", then it is. "Available" and "Total" don't necessarily match. On a credit card, I'd expect the "available" funds to not jump if the payment hasn't cleared, just like with any other account, and, since it's a credit card, the balance shouldn't drop until the payment cleared either.
But I did say in an earlier post that Aqua appear to have come from the past and bolted some features "from the future" without giving much thought to what they were doingand now their stapled together systems aren't always in sync. If anything, I'd say Money_Man_Steve's payment was seen by the online system, but didn't quite make it into the legacy system. Nothing to do with inter-bank payment clearing. Faster Payments clear as soon as they are received.

As soon as the "Available balance" has been updated (typically within 2 hours or overnight), then you can spend again.....
Sorry to be a bit pedantic, and I'm sure people will know what you mean, but I personally find Aqua's 'Your Account' nowhere as easy to understand as, for example, Capital One's. I find their 'Pending transactions' option is particularly helpful, and wish Aqua did this. The only way you can see if a transaction has been lodged with Aqua is to keep an eye on the 'Available to spend' figure, but you are not told who the retailer is for a couple of days.
To be honest I could not operate this account without the use of a spreadsheet, which is what I do.0 -
Hi guys, just got my new Aqua card with 500 limit. Just want to make sure I understand how this thing works exactly. So it's 3% cashback for *all* purchases up to a maximum of £100 cashback for the year, right? And that is really, all purchases, including online purchases like via ebay/paypal/amazon? Do people use this card for their paypal purchases?
If it's max £100 annual cashback, I guess that implies the maximum you want to spend on it is £3,333.33 annually, or about £278 per month - is that right?
Thanks0 -
All correct but you can spend more than £500 per month if you want, by paying off your credit card early via faster payments.
For example, you can buy something worth £300, then send a faster payment to your card worth £300, then you'll have the full £500 limit back.0 -

That's about it, just make sure you don't go over your credit limit or there will be a £12. charge and all of you cashback will disappear.
