(essentially, they are just trying to keep my money).
Last week they transferred 80p to my bank account (and I have the statment to prove it) so I suspect the person who told you there is a minimum limit is telling nonsense.
Call them again and ask the (different) person to do it.0 -
Couldn't wait anymore and called them. According to aqua, everyone will receive their cheques by the end of March and all banks now are accepting their cheques, except Halifax ( who would have their account at Halifax anyway)0

Well, I do as I get £5/month for paying in my salary.
If this is true, it's more utter shambles from Aqua. I've not heard anything at all from them about my cashback since the original letters advising of withdrawal, let alone when I'm going to receive a cheque or an apology for the delay.
If the above about Halifax is true (and I do mean if), I have no means to pay it into an account. Aqua know I have a Halifax account from when I set up my direct debit so it is inexcusable that they have not written to me or if they don't write to me and similarly affected customers offering an alternative form of payment (e.g. direct into current account).0 -

Imagine what it's like for those poor souls that don't follow this thread and don't have constant snippets of information....!
I have had nothing from Aqua since the text in January advising me that the card was closing. No acknowledgement of delays, no word on why the cheques are now 6 weeks behind schedule.
I only know what is happening (I probably actually don't :rotfl:) because I have contacted them and from the (sometimes debatable) posts on this thread.0 -

I second the above. I'm not in a mad rush for the cheque so haven't called them or got stressed out about it. I've just been keeping an eye on this thread to see how it is going. It is beginning to get a bit ridiculous now - especially with the issues with cheques being declined. What a shambles. This is a system account and does not represent a real person. Did they give any explanation as to why Halifax were not accepting the cheques but all other banks are? Surely the cheque is either
legitimate or it is not?
I remember reading that Aqua were linked to Halifax in some way (via SAV credit?) I may be wrong....This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0 -
My cheque seems to have cleared. My balance was at zero, then today my aqua card was debited 5p "balance adjustment" or something it said.
It's almost getting comedic. lol. Will this card ever actually be closed?!All that glitters is not gold.0
