It would need to be a couple of months I reckon.
Courts and judges don't take kindly to people going to court after very short time periods.
Mine was settled 21st Feb nearly a month ago so I do feel a lot of people could have avoided this,

BTW - I haven't had any charges for not making a payment last month and having my account settled with cashback.

I would have been charged a late payment fee and interest if I did the same as you and so would a lot of other people with statement dates between 22nd and ~4th of the month, whose payment due dates arrived before the cashback was credited.

Yes, I do appreciate that not everyone's statement date would have worked.
    That's why I didn't say everyone.
It's certainly looks like more than half assuming statement dates are equally spread.
I do agree with you though that not everyone could have avoided it.

    My balance still says £100.00CR

    Getting annoyed now....
I spent 25 years in the mobile industry, from 1994 to 2019. Worked for indies as well as the big networks, in their stores also in contact centres. I also hold a degree in telecoms engineering so I like to think I know what I’m talking about 😂

  • Wrote to complain in January about wrong cashback amount. Just heard yesterday, 8 weeks after complaint, that it's still being investigated!

Didn't take up new offer but received new terms and conditions, so had to telephone to complain. Sent out in error, apparently but discovered that account not actually closed until 14 February, not 22 Jan. Assured of cash back cheque by end February. It arrived on 14 March - and had wrong serial numbers, so couldn't pay into bank.

Phoned to complain - yes, they know about the problem, very sorry, offered £20 compensation. Gave account details but no payment, surprise surprise!

Also sent queries/complaints via email link but no response!

Will now be taking all issues, including poor service and communication to Financial Services Ombudsman.

    Over-react, much?

Yes it's annoying, but what material loss have you suffered? The FOS will aim to put you back in the position you would have been in had the errors not occurred. What could you have done two months ago, that you have missed out on, because they didn't pay the cashback in January? A few pennies in interest somewhere?

My account is still showing as open on Noddle (The Boss asked on post #2396).
The data was updated on 28the Feb, my account was clear on 21st Feb.
I still have a credit limit and next statement date on the Aqua site, so I guess it will take them a little time to close the accounts (that's normal).
Not an issue for me at all - just answering the question in post #2396 and keeping an eye on my credit report as normal.

My cashback was paid into my account, despite me not having a sufficient balance to a void an 'in credit' remainder.
Aqua now refuse to refund the in credit balance because my account is closed, and it is less than their £5 minimum transfer amount.
(essentially, they are just trying to keep my money).

They wont reply to any online messages, and over the phone, they promised to refund it, but a week later, no sign.

Think I'll have to go to ombudsman out of principle, over a few quid.
Frustrating, but I cant just let them keep it.

    SC.
