Both statements arrived today and the cashback is wrong on both. It hasn't accrued for anything after 19 January. I have just called and it had been adjusted so it doesn't appear that it will be done automatically and the OH will have to call about theirs. I was told it would be rounded down to the nearest £5.

OH called on Wed about the missing cashback. Got a call next day to say they would make a Good Will credit to the account of £10, which was more than the missing cashback, and would be credited to the account next day. Checked and right enough it was, reducing the outstanding balance.

Today I got a call about my missing cashback. He said he had taken on my case, would look into it and would get back to me within 8 WEEKS. You can guess my reaction to that. I pointed out that no cashback had accrued for transactions made after 19.02.

I got a call back to say that the 2 transactions cashback was missing for hadn't posted to the account until 21.02 and as that was the day the card ended, they weren't eligible for cashback. Aye, that'll be right. I pointed out that their paperwork stated that the account would end on 22.01, note 21.01, therefore the transactions should be eligible. The upshot is that a Good Will payment is going to be made to my account.

If anyone is missing cashback I would urge you to contact them as I very much doubt it will be corrected automatically.

As an aside, in the first call I was told the cashback would be credited on 14.03.14. In the second call I was told it would be paid by cheque next week. Take your pick.

Check your accounts online folks. The cashback has been credited to both of our accounts overnight listed as a "Loyalty Award" and it has been paid in full and not rounded down.

As both payments are due at the beginning of March this has reduced the outstanding balance.

    Happy days.

Same here, £94.87 in credit now.

Now, just to wait for the cheque to arrive.

I do wish they could have just done a bank transfer payment back.

Not to grumble though, it's a nice little reward coming back
  • Oooh, they didn't round the cashback down to the nearest fiver: that's an extra 6p I wasn't expecting :D

I had a zero balance before and now I am £63 in credit.

Assume the only way to get this out is to call Aqua and ask for a cheque.

Followed the advice here and questioned why the cashback was short last month.

Anyone else now got a "DEBIT GESTURE OF GODDWILL" (sic) on their account?

Yes they have debited my account, not credited it with £10

Time for another call I think ....

I was told everyone who hadn't opted to change to the 0.5% card would receive a cheque next week for any credit balance.

Ok, so I guess it's just a case of waiting for the cheque...unless they've been giving out dodgy advice again.

Just wait for them to post the cheque - they will do so automatically.
