    Interesting but not suprising.
Aqua told me they would not be crediting on-line accounts but would be sending out cheques.
I've put a note in my diary to check.
I guess we'll have to see what happens.

It might be a pain for me because I might have to pay £100 and then get it back again.
Not the end of the world, but a bit unnuecessary.

Had another letter from Aqua today saying that my credit and cashback will be returned by cheque 2 weeks after the 17th February (3rd March)

Got my final statement. Total cashback was way short of what it should be so I called them up. Took them a while to figure out what happened but it turns out my 3 transactions made on 20/01/2014 weren't "processed" until the day after, which meant the cashback wasn't added.

They've credited my account with the difference immediately (taking into account subsequent rounding down of cashback) so it's all sorted. They did say they're going to start crediting accounts with cashback from Monday, so it looks like I won't have to faff around with a cheque.

I'd advise others to check their cashback amounts if they made payments near to the cut-off date of 21/01/2014.
  • Had a letter today stating the same - fume over.
  • They have credited my account with the cashback within last couple of days. However, my outstanding balance was only £47 so I am now £53 in credit.

I will leave it a couple of weeks or so until it has gone past the DD date and if I haven't had a cheque or other refund, I will contact them.

OH's account has an outstanding balance that is greater than the cashback due, but the DD for the full amount is due on Thursday, and they haven't applied the cashback to his account yet, so it will be interesting to see how much they take.

I'm in the same boat - my final transaction dated 20th Jan didn't generate any cashback, but when I phoned I was assured that the missing cashback would be credited on the next statement. I think another phone call is in order...

    Tenth Anniversary
I phoned the other day as the cashback wasn't credited on the online statement. I was told it would be credited "at the end of the month". I pointed out that this would put me in credit if the payment for the full amount was taken first. He said I would get a cheque in that case. I asked when that would be and was told "by the end of the month".......

Both statements arrived today and the cashback is wrong on both. It hasn't accrued for anything after 19 January. I have just called and it had been adjusted so it doesn't appear that it will be done automatically and the OH will have to call about theirs. I was told it would be rounded down to the nearest £5.

I was also told that the cashback would be on the March statement. I told her that would put me into a credit balance and she said I would have to call with my bank details to have it paid. She offered to take my bank details and hold them for a month, but I wouldn't trust this shower with a tupenny raffle let alone my bank details.

Received my last statement today. 0 balance obviously. No reference to when cashback will be paid. Received an addressed envelope too, the sort used to send payments back.
  • Just spoken to aqua who have told me that all cheques will be sent out by close of business tomorrow,( for the people who have no outstanding balance) they had not sent them before as they had decided to extend so that people could move to the 0.5% card if they wanted too! she said they would be sent out 2nd class, so hopefully that is true!

Believe it when I see it, they haven't even credited the cash back to DWs account yet.
    I think....
