    Good luck!! :rotfl:

P.S. I'm happy to take my sarcasm back if they do get back to you with a proper answer :)

Last time I messaged them, nothing happened for about a week, whereupon I got a LETTER in the post asking me to phone them with any queries rather than use the messaging system!!!

Re: Closure date - normally with credit cards, if you cancel, then they keep your account marked as active for a few weeks to let any residual transactions ripple through, or wait until you have a zero balance, etc. Maybe that is what they mean by "account closure"

My closing balance is £249.41, which should earn £7.48 cashback. The statement shows £6.68, which leaves total cashback at £84.98 - which will get rounded down to £80- fuming here

Cashback was always calculated based on the value of transactions posted to your account, not the outstanding balance.

:rotfl:Just called Aqua, my cashback will be added to my account in due course, if a zero balance, then it's up to me to contact Aqua customer service and they will then credit my Bank Account with this amount. If I do nothing, they don't send a cheque - so check your account for a cashback credit!

If you have a zero balance, I don't think you will be getting any cheque. It would be a complete waste of time them sending you a check for nil value.

If you have a balance owed to you, there is no need to contact Aqua - they have said a cheque will be sent. See the literature you have been sent.

Just a hunch, but I'm guessing they meant zero balance BEFORE the cashback is credited :wall:

Why would anyone be asking for a cheque for £0.00?

It's not entirely clear, but it looks like we may need to settle the accounts before they are closed before they are credited with cashback before we get a transfer/cheque, but it's as clear as mud.

I will try to get clarity from them but I wouldn't be suprised if I get different answers to other people.

The value of transactions is £249.41 - I always pay in full.

As was pointed out to me earlier in the thread, the cashback was never really "rounded down". Sure, the amount they paid was rounded down, but the residual was not lost it was rolled over to the next year.

Given that there isn't going to be a "next year" for this card, I would fully expect the cashback to be paid in total without any rounding.

Nevertheless I still made sure my cashback was just over a £5 boundary before the card closed :)

They'll apply the cash back to your account and then send you a cheque for the amount that the account is in credit within 2 weeks.
Sorry, but this is NOT how I read it.

My reading was that the cashback would be credited to the account "approximately two weeks" after account closure, i.e. approximately 2 weeks after 22nd Jan. There were no timescales given for sending out the cheques.

Why are people sweating over the timescales? Do they really need that £100 that urgently? I'm just sitting back and waiting now :)
