Why are people sweating over the timescales? Do they really need that £100 that urgently? I'm just sitting back and waiting now :)

It's the principle of it: "I signed up for free cash damn it, so I want my free cash!" - which isn't unreasonable of course, but wanting it RIGHT NOW AND HURRY UP kind of is :)

Well, since I signed up for the new card, I don't have these problems :P Sure, it will take until October to see the money, but I know exactly when I'll see it, and if the next statement isn't a round figure I can top it up, so I get to the 5 quid payment boundary.

Yes, I agree, but this said - I would rather have the cheque in my pocket (well, account) earning interest, then in theirs.

In terms of 'Free Money', well it's not necessarily free - they recieve a rebate (e.g: A % on the purchase price on all purchases via the card), to fund the cashback incentive - which has been factored into the selling prices of the stuff I've purchased. This said, I believe the % they get was less than 3% cashback they paid out.
Thank you all for helping me make my day by saving money!

I'm not desperate on the timescale side, but I certainly would not want it to be forgotten.
So that's why for me it has to stay on the "To Do" list and therefore will be a mental bother until it's arrived.

    1. Take diary (Google Calendar or the like)
    2. Write "pester Aqua regarding cashback" on the 1st of the month for a few months, just in case it takes that long
    3. Forget about it until either the cheque comes through the letterbox or the pestering date comes around

You can free your mind from bother and put it to better use, like doing your nails, or finding the next best ISA :D /snark

I'd have thought being a regular contributor to this thread would serve just as well!!

I have phoned Aqua this morning.
I have been told that a cheque will be sent out and cashback will NOT be credited to the account.
I can expect to receive it a few weeks after my statement date of 17th Feb.

The value of transactions is £249.41 - I always pay in full.

So what was their response when you called them to ask why you had only earned £6.68 on that total transaction value?

I'll wait to see what the pay out is - won't bother if it's a few pence out, but will if it's rounded down to £80.

Just received my statement in the post today, and the total cashback is only showing as £96.04.

It looks like the final transaction, dated 20th January on the statement, for £133 didn't generate any cashback.

I just called to ask the same question - I was originally told the cashback *would* be sent on the 22nd (or thereabouts) of Jan and it'd take 2 weeks to arrive.

Now it *should* be sent on the 17th of February, which is nearly a month later!
