Today I received a letter that my limit was increased to £650 from £500. I do not even remember asking for it.
Together with that I received another letter dated 12/07/13 that they could not collect my DD this month. Funny enough this is the issue I had with them early in the month and I already spoke with them 5 times before 12th July. That is what call efficiency...0 -
Yeah the £650 figure seems fairly common. Might be that if we'd asked for an increase earlier we'd have got a higher credit limit but they seem to be discouraging people from using these cards too often.0

hi.. ive just had my first statement, its a 250 pounds credit limit and i spent 228 pounds which i paid in full last tuesday using the giro slip at the bottom of the bill at my bank...however ever since then when i phone for my balance i get the following message
''your balance is zero, the amount due is zero, your available to spend is 22 pounds''
why doesnt it say 250 to spend if ive paid it off in full?0 -

I believe it could be because you paid by the giro, so they need probably few days to clear it.0 -
hi..its been 10 days now though, and why is my balance zero? surely if it wasnt cleared it would still show 228?0

I have had my Aqua credit card since last August and until now everything was fine. However, my latest statement showed previous cashback £89.78 (this is correct) and closing balance this month £444.22 but cash back only £9.71 (roughly 2%), and total cashback earned £99.49. I appreciate the maximum cashback is £100 per annum, but I would expect my cashback to date to show as £100. I have emailed Aqua and am awaiting their reply.
Has anyone else experienced this problem?0 -
I've had my card for a year. I set up a direct debit to pay the full amount every month so I have paid no interest.
I got a statement dated 02 July 2013 showing I had earned the maximum £100 cashback. My closing balance was £16.15 and the statement says this would be collected by Direct Debit on 19/07/2013
I then received ANOTHER statement dated 03 July 2013 (just one day later) showing an opening balance of £16.15 and a minimum payment of £5.00 with no mention of Direct Debit.
So I called them and they didn't know why I had got two statements, but they conformed that the direct debit of £16.15 was due to go out on 19th and not to worry about it.
Received a call today to tell me that I am in default, and a late payment fee of £12.00 has been applied to the account. The Direct Debit was not taken (although it is still authorised on my current account). They can't explain why. Obviously their mistake.
The £100 cashback has been applied to my account when I look on-line.
They wanted me to pay the current balance of £67, which includes the £12 late fee. I argued that I should really be paying £16.15 (last months balance which they didn't take) or £55 (Current balance minus the fee) but they wanted the whole amount and said they would refund the fee and put me in credit. I agreed to pay the £67.
I am concerned that this "late payment" will affect future cashback, which is the only reason I have the card. I'll give this a few days to go through and then call Customer Services, and I will check my statements carefully to ensure no interest is applied and the charge is refunded.0 -

I don't understand how Aqua can impose a £12 penalty for non-payment if you have a valid direct debit set up. The fault is with Aqua and they should not be applying a penalty.
That woud be a major money maker for them if they did not take anyone's payment by DD and then charged everyone £12!!!! It does not make sense. Surely the main reason for choosing to pay by DD is to remove any worries about payments not being made on time0 -
