And how does one do that?
If for some reason that doesn't suit you then you can call/email them and ask them for a cheque or BACS transfer to your current account.
Once the money has been transferrred to you then you can close the card.
Personally for relatively small amounts I find it more convenient to spend it. Most people, have ongoing needs for food & petrol so that's often quicker.
Sorry but what's the issue.
I've closed down cards after cashback and also transferred credit amounts serveral times so I'm missing what the issue is - seems simply enough to me.0 -
Yeah I imagine I'll just magically start using the card again for my everyday purchases once I have my £100 cashback, seems the simplest thing to do. Once I breach the £100, I'll let my final direct debit pay the remainder off then cancel the card.0

Lots of talk of closing the card after cashback is received, have I missed something?
Is the offer only for the first year now? :undecided
Sorry if I've missed it being mentioned, been away for a week, but I had a quick look around and can't see anything suggesting this. :undecided0 -
I am dead happy I got the cash back card when I did, it's amazing how quick you can reach the £100 if you use it for every spend you can. £100 quid for doing nothing is fantastic.
The website is perhaps a little basic but it tells you what you need to know, the other minor criticism is that it takes a couple of days to post transactions.
It's a shame that the cash back card has been withdrawn but I guess it had to happen with all the people signing up and taking the £100 and paying no interest, I would be interested to know the percentage of Customers for the reward card that have done this, I suspect that it is high.
I hope it cash back continues for existing punters, I look at it as 4p off every litre of petrol I buy :-)0 -
Is the offer only for the first year now?
Pure specualtion I think, although you could say educated guess as it's such a great offer.
It has been withdrawn for new customers.0 -

Has anyone who has this card registered for the "Free Aqua Credit Checker"? I put my details into their page but all it said was "thank for registering with us", and nothing else. Do they get back to you later?0

The FAQs say that after registering for the credit checker Aqua will be in contact in less than 4 weeks, so you may have to wait a bit. It appears to be the same service as Noddle though - the FAQs say that no premium services are included unless you want to pay to add them on.0

Now that this card is -apparently- no longer available to new customers, what is the next best alternative for people with a so-so credit history?
Barclaycard Initial has 0% on purchases for the first 3 months, but the Aqua Reward card would have been ideal, so I am looking for something similar. Preferably with a normal cashback on all spending (so no loyalty branded cards for specific retailers, like Sainsbury's) and in cash (so no Tesco clubcard points, or airmiles etc).
Vanquis (which whould have been the next obvious choice for credit building) currently has a cashback of £40.40 thru Topcashback for succesfully applying. I know though that it is an one time offer (but then again it corresponds to £1346.67 worth of purchases with Aqua) and that the cashback is not guaranteed.
Next option is the Capital One Classic Extra, that gives a 0.5% cashback and 10 quid per year for paying on time.
I intend to use the card for credit building primarily and for whatever extra perks I can get. The card will be used like a debit one, paying for normal expenses (groceries, transportation, etc) and repaid in full every month so I don't care about the APR. Even a small credit limit of, say £300 will do for starters. You wanna hear about my new obsession?
I'm riding high upon a deep recession...0 -
Do they get back to you later?
Yes they do.0
