I assume you wait until your 12 months are up before cancelling, or am I missing something?

Why do people think the reward card has been withdrawn or the 3% rate dropped. Just checked and this link still lets you apply for the card http://www.aquacard.co.uk/credit-cards/reward-card

I just requested a credit limit increase on the website; do they post out their reply, or will it just appear on the next statement if it's accepted?

I did try it just before I posted and it then wanted my details. I am now wondering if it was using older cookies.

Mine says "Oops, that page does not exist"

I would take it that maybe they didn't get too many people carrying balances, so no interest coming in. Oh well, if they change it, it was good to do anyway!

They usually e-mail you a reply (with the from address being $Cardmember Services, and no actual mention of Aqua, due to bad programming). Took a few days last time for me, I guess they might be a bit slow at the moment given the recent bank holidays.

I wouldn't be surprised if they remove/reduce the cashback at some point, there's not much that can be done about this, except trying to earn the cashback as soon as possible.

A-ha, you're right, I'm sorry. If one uses an affiliate link to access the aqua website, and then visit the reward card page and apply, the application still works. I assume it worked for you for a similar cookie-based reason, as you say.

So there is still a loophole enabling one to apply.

But whether or not that application will actually get a card landing on your door step or just a credit check leading to nothing is a mystery.

Isn't it easier to just ring them up and say "I'd like to apply for your cashback card" ?
