unfortunately, in this day and age, people are aware that CHANCES ARE THEY'VE GONE THROUGH HOOPS means absolutely nowt.

So you agree that uneducated people should not be questioning those with a blue badge?

No those busybodies who quiz people about this, with no right or authority.

As for your reading what you did into my comments, it says a great deal about you!

Just as a pointer - I don't receive mobility DLA nor do I have a Blue Badge.
there was a busybody interogating the PO driver though wasn't there? But that is acceptable?

Strange choice of words there, 'interogating' (sic) suggests a far harsher way of simply asking. You really seem to have a problem with blue badge holders, is it something personal?

I would have thought it was obvious even to you, that there is a great difference between questioning someone with a Blue Badge, and questioning the driver of a van with NO Blue Badge?

but what was the busybody asking for in the first place? I thought you lot all think it isn't allowed to ask anyone about their BBs?

What lot do you think I belong to?

Do you think it was likely that a Royal Mail van driver has a Blue Badge?

That is so obvious a troll post. Even after all this number of posts you're still playing dumb?

Well you know what, when I can't get a wider space I can't get my wheelchair out so I have quite an incentive to help to keep these spaces free for those who really need them.

I couldn't park in Bristol yesterday and so couldn't do the shopping I needed to do. I don't know if the spaces were taken up with people with badges or not, but if my actions in challenging people without badges help people like me in the future then I know I am doing the right thing and I will continue challenging people not displaying badges.

I have parked behind cars occupying spaces in the past and that makes them think. When I arrived at a hotel in Cambridge a month or so ago to find all of the BB spaces taken by cars not displaying badges I told the receptionist that, when I returned from my evening meal, I would be parking behind any car in the spaces without a badge. She went up to their gym and announced that anybody not moving their car in the next 10 minutes would be blocked in for the night and the way those spaces cleared so quickly was truly miraculous.

Yes, I am truly passionate about abuse of these spaces, for a very good reason. I believe that anybody who thinks otherwise cannot appreciate how essential they really are.

As odd as it might seem to some people, a chap in our town drives for the Royal Mail and has a blue badge. He drives an adapted van as he lost a leg amongst other bits in a bomb blast whilst in the army in Iraq. So it is not impossible for someone who works for the Royal Mail to have a blue badge - the chap you accosted may just have forgotten to display it and got an earful for his sins - no wonder he got abusive!!

In anycase as mentioned above on private land the blue badge is not required anyway.

Yes but people on this forum seem to think its wrong to question possible abusers. If a BB Holder parks in a bay and forgets to put their BB on display should we confront them or not???

Just out of interest, thoses who think people should keep their noses out of others business how would you feel if say (for arguements sake) someone mugs you and I were to witness the unfortunate event should I stick my nose in to your business or not????
