    Well I asked to see the blue badge of a guy sat smoking in a post office van parked in the last available space in the garden centre we visited today. He was really abusive - said he was there to make a collection. So I reported him. Hope he gets an official reprimand.

    Dont let people on here dictate your decision to apply for one Isis, if you need one which it sounds like you do. Apply for one, but if someone challenges you outside of local parking enforcement officers and Police (they rarely do) dont engage with them, they are not worth getting upset over. Walk away, if you feel the need log what was said by the other person at the earliest possible convenience, perhaps even report it to some i.e if you are in a store car park report it to customer services, they may have been reported before and an arrest could be made for at least a breach of the peace or if it is off severity disabled hate crime. You are protected by law if people get on your back just in case they think wrongly people dont have hidden disabilities.

    Oh I know who to call if I would have any problems :-)

    Luckily for me, I put far more into the system than I take out, so I don't need to justify myself to you. I'm willing to bet that, judging by your attitude, you are a net drain on the system.

    Ha, don't give up your day job, your psychic powers suck cheese.

    If anyone passes comment to me or within hearing distance I always say"since when have you been my consultant? It always works. People are just ignorant and need to think before they say anything.

    so we've got some posters droning on about people having the cheek to ask them if they really need to be in the disabled space, and another one spitting feathers because a PO van was parked in one, and they challenged them and were told to jog on?

    make your minds up what you all want!

    I thought they had.

    The right to park in a disabled bay with their Blue Badge without the great unwashed questioning them, and without the able bodied parking in disabled bays.

    Was that so difficult for you to understand?

    Its not difficult for anyone with a modicum of common sense really -

    if you have a blue badge then chances are you have gone through hoops to get it and are entitled to park in blue badge reserved spaces;
    If you dont have a blue badge on display but still park in blue badge reserved spaces then its only fair that people can ask if you really warrant being there.

    There, not so difficult really was it?
    I don't know if I'm getting better or just used to the pain.

    No those busybodies who quiz people about this, with no right or authority.

    As for your reading what you did into my comments, it says a great deal about you!

    Just as a pointer - I don't receive mobility DLA nor do I have a Blue Badge.

    Oh and before you ask I am a payer of income tax.
