Well that's what prompted me to ask - it states this for fixed rate ISAs like your link, but says nothing of that kind for the 5-access ISA in its summary box. It's not unusual for fixed rate accounts to be treated differently to easy access ones, so I'm left wondering.wmb194 said:gwapenut said:How long do Coventry give you to fund an account once it is opened? From what I can see, there doesn't seem to be a defined length of time between opening and the first payment into the account. My 4 access saver (no longer available) is the same however I funded it almost immediately.gwapenut said:How long do Coventry give you to fund an account once it is opened? I assume you're asking this question as you don't want to fund it yet but as the account is limited issue you don't want to wait too long before opening it and miss out. Unless you are thinking you will use the account for the full term (12 months before conversion to easy access) I would suggest depositing a pound to ensure it stays open.

Worth noting though that Coventry only allows you to pay into one cash ISA with them each tax year. So if you open this one with £1 of new money, you won't be able to open another cash ISA with them this tax year, unless you a) only transfer in previous years' subscriptions, or b) transfer out of the 5 Access ISA. Worth bearing in mind, as they often have some good fixed rate ISAs.Ch1ll1Phlakes said:

Prediction came partially true for those wondering. Principality has announced rate reductions of 0.20% (on the 4 variable ISA products currently available on their website) coming into effect on the 18th September - see Compare Savings accounts and ISAs | Principality . All fixed rate products will not change but may be withdrawal and new issues put out.Ch1ll1Phlakes said:
I've had Principality ISAs for a while. Their reduction to rates usually is informed about 4 weeks after the BOE base rate is cut, with the Principality interest rates changing 6 weeks after the BOE announcement (as their T&Cs say they have to give at least 14 days notice of rate changes)RexItaliae said:Does anyone know whether the 4.40% interest rate of Principality BS Online Bonus 5 Access Cash ISA has been set after the reduction in the Bank of England rate? In the pinned post it's stated as "new" but I don't know when it appeared there.
I'm asking because I'd like to transfer my Tembo Cash ISA to them but I want to save myself the hassle to do that if then in a couple of days Principality also lowers its rate already.
I'm expecting an email from Principality with rate changes (if they happen) around the start of September based on previous experience, which would come into effect possibly around September 18th.
Thanks to @janusdesign for highlighting this on the The Top Regular Savers Discussion Thread and The New Top Easy Access Savings Discussion Area. Haven't received an email about previously available accounts yet.

Charter have an EA ISA @ 4.31% and no limits on withdrawals.0

For those that have had a Charter ISA in the past, but no longer has any active accounts with them, although the closed ISA was showing in my online account, I could not open a new ISA when logged it. It redirected me back to the public page and I had to do an application as a new customer.2010 said:Charter have an EA ISA @ 4.31% and no limits on withdrawals.
I've got a Tembo ISA that I plan to transfer to Charter. Tembo is also not-flexible but has just reduced it's flexible ISA rate to 4.1%, so I'm not losing anything here. It's a pity I have to print out, sign and send the transfer form in to Charter.2 -
Really impressed with my ISA transfer from Tembo to Chip.
Requested Tuesday.
Money left Tembo yesterday Wednesday
Arrived, showing and transfer complete today Thursday

I've noticed that the Chip ISA still shows a headline rate of 4.70% but that's now made up of a standard rate of 3.04% with a boost for 3 months of 1.66%I was considering a move from Tembo, but reconsidering my options now.Saving goal for 2025: £17,561/£30,000 (58%)
Saving goal for 2024: £27k - achieved0
