I opened a fixed-rate ISA last year which has an 08 sort code. Later opened a current account and regular saver which have 82 sort codes. Can't advise on the app as I don't use it, but for online banking via a browser I have separate login details for the two different sort codes. Very annoying.flaneurs_lobster said:

Matures September 2026 so just over a year should that appeal to anyone.Fixed rate until 24 September 20264.16%
Does this mean that I will need a separate login account/separate app instance to access this new ISA or will it be available with my existing account logins?
Seems these differing sort codes are a legacy of Virgin's takeover of Clydesdale Bank and the awkward way they seem to have handled the integration of the two systems.
Be interesting to see how the next interation of integration plays out in the future, now that Nationwide are in the driving seat. I have different apps for my Virgin current accounts and credit card which are separate and distinct.0 -
08-60-64 is the Northern Rock side of the business and you cannot see these accounts in the VM app which is for the Clydesdale/Yorkshire Bank side.clairec666 said:

A good first move would be to move over all new fixed-rate ISAs. I don't understand why they haven't done this already, and done away with the 80 sort code for any new accounts.poseidon1 said:clairec666 said:

A lot of people (not necessarily typical MSE forum users) favour choosing an ISA with a provider they already have accounts with, to keep their banking admin as simple as possible. Yet when they open an ISA with Virgin, there's no indication of the legacy Clydesdale / Northern Rock system and they don't realise they'll be stuck with another set of login details etc.0 -
CMC Invest big rate drop:
Our Cash ISA rate will change from 4.59% AER* (variable) to 3.95% AER* (variable) on 10 September 2025.
I only opened it yesterday, may as well cancel the transfer from Tembo!

With the massive rate drop by CMC I need to find a new home for my cash in 2 weeks.
Do we know which providers allow transfer in requests from CMC?
Looking at the Principality ISA at 4.4% just now as it is a flexible ISA but remember that people here reported that they are slow and not participating in electronic transfers. Is this still the case?
The alternative is the 4.7% ISA at Chip, I was a customer before and the account was closed a couple of months ago so wondering if they let me back in if I sign up again with a different email address to take their 4.7% offer for 3 months.0 -

Principality is reducing its rate to 4.2% on the 18 September and you do need to fill in a paper transfer request.

I've also run out of options on many of the higher rate Cash ISA's as I've taken newbie bonuses before and still have dormant a/c's.pecunianonolet said:With the massive rate drop by CMC I need to find a new home for my cash in 2 weeks.

I've just initiated a switch from my CMC Cash ISA to a Vida Savings easy access flexible cash ISA currently paying 4.3%. I know it's not the best rate, but based on the rate today, compared to the new CMC rate, it will generate around £100 more for me p.a which is worth taking.
The online transfer in request section on the Vida website didn't have CMC Invest as a drop down, but it did give the option to key in details manually. I will sit back now and see if Vida get back to me to say they can't initiate a transfer.
I also cancelled a transfer-in to CMC from a maturing Virgin 1 Year Fixed Cash ISA this afternoon as a result of the CMC rate drop.2 -
I was looking at opening Principality, they are dropping the rate soon "The rate on this product will decrease from 4.40% to 4.20% (including bonus) (Tax-free^ each year/AER†) on 18/09/2025."pecunianonolet said:With the massive rate drop by CMC I need to find a new home for my cash in 2 weeks.

Has Chip reduced their rate since the BoE reduction already - or are they they also expected to reduce the 4.7% rate soon?pecunianonolet said:The alternative is the 4.7% ISA at Chip, I was a customer before and the account was closed a couple of months ago so wondering if they let me back in if I sign up again with a different email address to take their 4.7% offer for 3 months.0 -
The air is getting thinner and it's going to be more and more difficult to find providers above 4%.
Vida is an option indeed but not sure how much I trust them. There was quite som discussion a while back about their balance sheets, etc.
Also, could imagibe that CMC will have a few millions in outflows coming their way so other providers may not be able to absorb all this cash so I supect products to be withdrawn or rates to be lowered to discourage further inflows. Vida may not be able to absorb a lot of that and the question is when they last loweed their rates or if an decrease of their rate is more likely to happen within the next 1-2 weeks.0
