Cash ISAs: The Best Currently Available List

Who are you transferring from ? Kent Reliance are on the list of ISA providers who use the BACs ISA transfer service so (in theory) you'll only need to use paper forms if the provider you're transferring from doesn't use the service and if that's the case, then you'll need to use paper forms no matter who you're transferring to.Gambler said:Where are you thinking?
I was tempted by Kent but can't be doing with paper applications!
Cynergy have a list of BACs ISA transfer providers on their page here but, interestingly, none of the more recent, less conventional ISA providers such as CMC, Tembo, Vida (etc) are on Cynergy's list, so if providers like that do do electronic transfers then it's possible that the list has become out of date.1 -

With Kent you have to complete paper application form to open the account along with a transfer form and then send both in the post.
Shawbrook at least let you open the account online and complete the transfer form online. You then have to print the firm, sign and email.0 -
ShawbrookDoes anyone know if Shawbrook does not let you open a new ISA if you already have one with them? When I try to open a new account from my online banking, I am only offered non-ISA accounts.Maybe it could be because I have contributed to a Shawbrook ISA this tax year? What if I want to transfer another ISA in?0

I had an ISA with them funded by previous years' ISAs. They let me open another with them, which was also funded by previous years' ISAs, but I had to do this over the 'phone as, like you've found, the option's not there online if you already hold an ISA with them.rallycurve said:ShawbrookDoes anyone know if Shawbrook does not let you open a new ISA if you already have one with them? Shawbrook only lets you subscribe to one ISA with them each tax year. So I've been unable to open a 1-year fix with them because I opened a 5-year fix already this year.rallycurve said:ShawbrookDoes anyone know if Shawbrook does not let you open a new ISA if you already have one with them? It's possible they may be able to open an account for you if you contact them and tell them that you are transferring in, no new money etc.1 -
I have opened an ISA on the 'phone for a transfer into Shawbrook of a previous year's subscriptions in similar circumstances.rallycurve said:ShawbrookDoes anyone know if Shawbrook does not let you open a new ISA if you already have one with them? I think Tembo have a system set up where a transfer request is automatically sent electronically to the current provider as soon as you submit it. I did Moneybox to Tembo and got an email from Moneybox saying they're processing the transfer almost instantly after I submitted the request. Down side is Moneybox said the transferred the funds the following day (Friday), but Tembo only credited them the following Wednesday.powerful_Rogue said:Just moved from Trading212 to Tembo, Took around 4 days in total.0 -
I've requested a full transfer from Tembo to Paragon. Paragon (issue 9) is paying 4.5% (reduced to 4.25% wef 4 September), so 4.25% is likely to stay there for a while.Gambler said:

Thanks for this info. Need to think about this, my worry is that they might reduce the rate in very near future.Archerychick said:
We have had ISAs with Vida for a little while now, the initial experience wasn’t great but I recall that ISAs were quite new to them. We have since transferred in 2 more ISAs to them, and they have been great - proactively calling me about a rejected transfer with clear ‘this is what you need to do’ so may be worth another go!allegro120 said:
Vida has not announced any reductions recently. The last drop was massive, so may be they will stick with this rate for longer? But you never know...pecunianonolet said:The air is getting thinner and it's going to be more and more difficult to find providers above 4%.
Vida is an option indeed but not sure how much I trust them. There was quite som discussion a while back about their balance sheets, etc.
Also, could imagibe that CMC will have a few millions in outflows coming their way so other providers may not be able to absorb all this cash so I supect products to be withdrawn or rates to be lowered to discourage further inflows. Vida may not be able to absorb a lot of that and the question is when they last loweed their rates or if an decrease of their rate is more likely to happen within the next 1-2 weeks.
I have Vida ISA with the balance of £10.08. I opened it when the rate was 4.63%, tried to do transfers in, all failed, so I secured the account by depositing £10. I've never attempted transfers in since, don't want to go through this again. Their CS wasn't great when I had to deal with failed transfers.
Do they do electronic transfers now? When I applied there was an option during the application process to initiate transfer. I've done that, but transfer failed and the only other option was to do it by paper, there was nothing on website or app allowing to do it electronically. I've asked them to post me the application form, they sent me a covering letter but forgot to include the actual form. I then went to my local library, printed, filled, sent, but unfortunately transfer failed again
. This narrows down my list for transferring out of Tembo and CMC.

I have only £3.5k in CMC. I'm thinking either to up Paragon or Moneybox (4.25%), I don't have any other ISAs paying more than 4.25%. Kent Reliance is offering 4.32%, but I'm a bit tired of opening slightly better paying ISAs just to find a few weeks later that they are reducing their rate.1 -

Couldn't agree more. An Isa has to offer at least 0.25% more than I'm currently getting to be worth the hassle of moving.4 -
On Paragon’s web site for Cash ISA’s I am not seeing the one you mention (issue 9).allegro120 said:

The highest interest account on their site for an ISA is a 40 Day Notice Cash ISA paying 4.15% AER0
