Cash ISAs: The Best Currently Available List

Just had a horrible thought. I've always had flexible cash ISA's but recently transferred to Tembo from Chip.clairec666 said:
Issue 5 had been around since before the base rate cut. Their website says they are still reviewing interest rates. I'm expecting a cut, but it'll probably be in line with the base rate, so I'm guessing 4.15%. Still higher than Tembo, and it's flexible too, although you've only got a limited number of withdrawals.RexItaliae said:Does anyone know whether the 4.40% interest rate of Principality BS Online Bonus 5 Access Cash ISA has been set after the reduction in the Bank of England rate? In the pinned post it's stated as "new" but I don't know when it appeared there.
I'm asking because I'd like to transfer my Tembo Cash ISA to them but I want to save myself the hassle to do that if then in a couple of days Principality also lowers its rate already.
Have I lost the flexibility for good now?0 -
No. It's perfectly possible to transfer a non-flexible ISA to a flexible one. The main thing to be aware of when transferring a flexible ISA is that you lose the ability to "replace" any withdrawn money when you transfer it. Make sure you do the replacement before you do the transfer.Gambler said:

I've had Principality ISAs for a while. Their reduction to rates usually is informed about 4 weeks after the BOE base rate is cut, with the Principality interest rates changing 6 weeks after the BOE announcement (as their T&Cs say they have to give at least 14 days notice of rate changes)RexItaliae said:Does anyone know whether the 4.40% interest rate of Principality BS Online Bonus 5 Access Cash ISA has been set after the reduction in the Bank of England rate? I'm expecting an email from Principality with rate changes (if they happen) around the start of September based on previous experience, which would come into effect possibly around September 18th.4 -
Thank you. Yes it was all replaced prior to transfer.slinger2 said:

Last time they cut rates I got an email on 3rd June, in keeping with your 4 week theory. If I remember rightly, they reduced my ISA rate by .25% but also introduced a new issue at a higher rate, so I transferred into the new one. Worth keeping an eye out in case they do the same thing this time.Ch1ll1Phlakes said:

6th February 2025 BOE reduction -> 24th February Prin email -> 18th March rate change
7th November 2024 BOE reduction -> 18th November Prin email -> 5th December rate change.
So not always 4 weeks sometimes maybe less. But roughly at least four week before the rate actually changes giving time to transfer out.0 -
Just noticed Coventry have a 5 Access ISA at 4.15%. Haven't seen this before so it might be new... I'm hopeful that the interest rate has already taken into account the recent base rate cut, although the banner at the top of the page says "our variable savings and mortgage rates are under review".
Might open it with £1, then transfer in later if it looks like it's staying at 4.15%.2 -
From CBS Member panel website
On Tuesday 12 August, we launched two new accounts:
5 Access Saver – 1 Year @ 4.15% AER

How long do Coventry give you to fund an account once it is opened? I've not been able to find this information after a quick look through the T&Cs, and I can't login online (anyone else unable to login via desktop chrome?) to send them a message0
