But bear in mind that others will drop their rates too, and it might take 2 or 3 weeks for things to settle down

    Chip

New promotion has been launched. Does the rate apply only for new funds or also for transfers in?
Currently getting 4.59% with CMC and they allow partial transfers out so could take the Chip offer. Faily certain that there won't be any further BOE drop any time soon.

Not a huge difference of 0.11% but at higher sums it makes a difference and should CMC drop it will be even more worthwhile.

Used to be a Chip customer but it seems you can return to them with a different email address.

We’re writing to let you know that the underlying interest rate on your Moneybox Cash ISA is changing from 3.95% AER (variable) to 3.70% AER (variable). This change is in response to the Bank of England’s recent base rate decrease.
If you currently earn an introductory bonus rate on top of your underlying rate, this remains unchanged and will continue to apply until it expires on your Cash ISA anniversary.
Your new underlying interest rate will come into effect from 22/08/2025 - and you’ll earn it if your account balance is over £500 and you haven’t made four or more withdrawals in your current 12-month period. If either condition is not met, you'll earn a lower rate of 0.75% AER.
I don't recall whether this account is automatically linked to the BOE base rate but it is reducing anyway.

Looks like CMC have removed the 0.85% 3-month bonus from their Cash ISA. Just advertised as 4.59% AER now.

Whether they'll cut their basic rate remains to be seen. My 3 month bonus expires at the end of the month so I'll wait until then to see whether to transfer out.

For some reason they think Chip have the 1.66% bonus for 12 months.
