Not exactly for one year but perhaps fairly stable for a while as there may only be one more BOE rate reduction. Fairly competitive for sure.1 -
Reference Chip’s new ISA rate of 4.99% for one year bonus; I have a Chip ISA at 4.07%. Obviously I cannot get this new rate of 4.99% being an existing customer.
Anyone know what happens if you transfer out of Chip and close the account, can you then reapply as a new customer?0 -
yep I do, they refuse you another ISAMichaelAP said:Reference Chip’s new ISA rate of 4.99% for one year bonus; I have a Chip ISA at 4.07%. Obviously I cannot get this new rate of 4.99% being an existing customer.

I think this has come up before and someone said if you use a different email address you can sign up as a new user.nomorekids said:

Not tried it myself but I might if Tembo reduce their rate.0 -
You'd need a new mobile phone number to get past step one of being a new user.I think this has come up before and someone said if you use a different email address you can sign up as a new user.
Once through that you'd have to hope that they don't check your name, address or NI number belong to a previous customer. The email address being different is a given.0 -
A new user with a completely different NI number, right?

Yep, that'll work.booneruk said:A new user with a completely different NI number, right?
Don't know if banks have access to HMRC's NI check service (it's certainly available to operators of registered payroll systems), but in any case it's probably fraud to declare a wrong number.
Worth the risk for an extra 1%? I wouldn't.0 -
Tembo cash ISA still advertising an interest rate of 4.80%. The warning that it's reviewing its interest rates has disappeared.0

Warning still there for me.Beeblebr0x said:Tembo cash ISA still advertising an interest rate of 4.80%. The warning that it's reviewing its interest rates has disappeared.1 -
