My transfer from Virgin to Cynergy hasn't got completed  :'( - at all.

Virgin to Gatehouse took only a month - requested on 8th of April, acted on 7th of May.
As all the banks you've mentioned utilise the BACs ISA transfer service, a cash ISA transfer between them should only take a matter of days rather than weeks. 2-3 days is fairly common in my experience, so a month is really poor for a wholly electronic ISA transfer.

It's interesting that Virgin have been involved in both of your slow (or non-existent !) transfer experiences as they have come under criticism on here in the past for this particular type of transaction. Hopefully Nationwide will sort things out, but this will obviously take some time.
Virgin are involved with my slow transfer into moneybox - initiated 24th April. Moneybox have blamed virgin but I put in a complaint to virgin who are adamant the fault lies with moneybox not indicating that the account is 'ready for payment'. This has been pointed out to moneybox who have since gone quiet and are not responding to messages or a complaint. I will not be using them again.
    16 Panel (250W JASolar) 4kWp, facing 170 degrees, 40 degree slope, Solis Inverter. Installed 29/9/2015 - £4700 (Norfolk Solar Together Scheme); 9.6kWh US2000C Pylontech batteries + Solis Inverter installed 12/4/2022 Year target (PVGIS-CMSAF) = 3880kWh - Installer estimate 3452 kWh:Average over 6 years = 4400 :j

I just won a complaint against Moneybox and they paid me compensation and lost interest and admitted IT and human error in my case.

I am after them for lost interest already and will be after more if the transfer does not take place very soon.

That's because I put quite a few quid into Virgin Exclusive ISA last year which I now try to distribute between several different ISAs, and this is a bit of a pain.

Sad to see savings rates continue to fall

From already historically low rates as well.
Your regular reminder that for  the majority of the last decade, savings rates were less than one percent.

Oh yes I do not need reminding that the boe introduced such low rates from 2007/2008 but we were told that these were emergency rates only. Despite that, the economy still barely grew for nigh on 15 years. Perhaps you need to be reminded that the average rate over the last 50 years is about 9% and over the last 100 years is about 8%. I believe I am correct in asserting that the current boe rate is historically low

I have a double access cash ISA issue 6 with Paragon that is currently earning 4.55%pa. I have already received an email advising that the rate will be reduced to 4.25%pa from 30 May 2025.

Paragon is currently offering a double access cash ISA issue 9 paying 4.5%pa. Does anyone know if this rate is also about to be reduced? In other words, is it worth transferring now, or is this just a waste of time as the rate will end up the same very soon?

I know that some financial institutions use the 'issue' system to pay less to unsuspecting existing customers whilst still offering a higher rate for new customers, but I don't know if Paragon is amongst these.

I'm moving my Paragon Issue 7 to Vida, currently offering 4.63%. Even if they shave off 0.25% in the next week or so it won't look too shabby. Also it's 4 access compared to Paragon's 2.
