The OH was at the local branch of the Coventry this morning and she was told that there are no Fixed ISA products currently available.
Then this afternoon, in the post, I received information on a maturing ISA (End November) where they are offering me.
    3.65% 1 Year.
    3.9%   2 Years
    3.95% 3 Years,
    4.05% 5 Years.

In anticipation of this maturing, I opened an A/C with Virgin, 3 years 4.41% with a token deposit.
I'm now torn between staying and moving, the additional interest with Virgin is circa £200PA.
I've concentrated on the 3-year option as ISA interest rates may not increase in the short term and the overall prediction for rates over time appears to be flat followed a possible drop.
My understanding of the situation may be totally rubbish.

Well there was a 4.75% 5 year ISA with West Brom BS recently, but it was only available for less than 48 hours!  Other than them and the State Bank of India fixes (which are branch only), the best rates seem to have hovered around 4.3%-4.4% for a while.  So remains to be seen whether anyone else improves on that or not in the coming weeks.  But you are right in that a lot of people are predicting that longer term fixes may have peaked, and may end up falling back in the future.  Obviously no one knows for sure though.

I opened the 3% easy access Virgin Money ISA last Friday and requested them to transfer in from my Coventry building society isa at the same time. I haven't heard anything since from either bank. How long does it take for Virgin to sort out on isa transfers?
I did the same and haven't heard anything. I'm guessing it will get processed without much contact but if I haven't heard anything by next week I might give them a ring. When I transferred into Coventry BS the transfer arrived in 2 working days but I can't see VM being quite that efficient...
Just checked the virgin money app and the isa has been transferred!

Opened and requested transfer last Friday got here today (Thursday).
