The rate is okay, not sure if it will still be competitive when they apply it in a months time though.0

Looks like Secure Trust Bank have withdrawn their 1 year fixed isa 3.9%.1

This has been happening with the top (non-ISA) fixed rate accounts too, recently (eg, 1 and 2-year bonds from Vanquis)subjecttocontract said:Looks like Secure Trust Bank have withdrawn their 1 year fixed isa 3.9%.
I'm thinking people are getting spooked and jumping on the top rate (causing it to become fully subscribed) rather than it being a sign that providers might start reducing their rates ?
Saying that, Kent Reliance have just dropped the rate on their one-year Fixed Rate ISA down from 3.85% to (a bewildering) 2.20%
I even tried refreshing the page, thinking I maybe hadn't visited it since June ! 1 -

Well, that 2.85% makes it the second best easy/limited access ISA at the moment only after Virgin so I don't think there are reasons to be disappointed with themcricidmuslibale said:
Thank you! I’m disappointed that Coventry BS aren’t willing to match the B of E base rate increase of 0.75% and thus reach a new annual interest rate of 3.0% that matches the current base rate tbh. I don’t think this Limited Access ISA will be particularly competitive now, especially with Virgin Money already paying 3.0% on their flexible exclusive easy access Cash ISA, which will better suit quite a lot of both current and potential ISA savers imho.alternate said:I think this might have been mentioned earlier when they put of all their new rates but I just got the email
re : Coventry BS
Good news - we’re increasing the interest rate on your Limited Access ISA (Online) (3) againNew rates from 1 December 2022AnnualMonthly.£0.01 plus2.85%2.81%
ETA: I’m fully aware that this Limited Access ISA is currently off sale btw.
At the moment the Coventry Limited Access ISA (online) interest rate for all issue numbers is only 2.25% annual, 2.23% monthly so in fact it is not currently the second best limited / easy access ISA after Virgin; the Ecology Building Society cash ISA paying 2.70% annual interest is. Also, easy / limited access ISAs by Marcus, Saga and Paragon are all currently paying more in interest than Coventry is.alternate said:The rate is okay, not sure if it will still be competitive when they apply it in a months time though.
By December 1, when the Coventry Limited Access ISA starts to pay 2.85% AER rather than 2.25% AER, I will be very surprised indeed if it is by then the second best easy / limited access ISA but only time will tell!0 -
I really do hope so! My goodness, it can only have been on sale for 2 days or so!intalex said:

With these small building societies it is hard to know just how much money they are trying to bring in. A lot will have small deposit targets and when that is coupled with high demand and a decent rate, they tend to disappear fast.1

Yes only appeared on Moneyfacts yesterday morning I think!cricidmuslibale said:

I did the same and haven't heard anything. I'm guessing it will get processed without much contact but if I haven't heard anything by next week I might give them a ring. When I transferred into Coventry BS the transfer arrived in 2 working days but I can't see VM being quite that efficient...ASL1 said:I opened the 3% easy access Virgin Money ISA last Friday and requested them to transfer in from my Coventry building society isa at the same time. I haven't heard anything since from either bank. How long does it take for Virgin to sort out on isa transfers?2
