I put £200K into a couple of 1 year fixed rate isas with Nat West & RBS last April at what looked like a pretty good rate of 4.2%......looks poor now when there's around 4.8% on offer. That's always the risk with fixed term deposits.

Yes, I added the new and enhanced Tandem fixed rate ISA offerings to the list on the first page, during the update I made last Saturday (12th September).

Considering tax on savings is going to rise by 2% from 2027, I think 5.25% ISA is a very attractive offer.

I have my largest proportion of ISA funds in a fixed term ending next month, I'm thinking of putting in EA untl nearer the new tax year so I can take advantage of any transfer offers going around in the lead up, as normally I can't because most of my ISA funds are already locked away, that's been the case for the last couple of years. Of course the EA rates are lower than Fixed Term options though so there's the case that potentially i'm going to lose in interest what I'd gain in any cashback anyway, so I'm still on the fence over what do do.
