  • Hi,

Ok, status update. The woman from before was a complete and utter time waster. She promised she'd ring me and then didn't on 3 separate occasions before eventually telling me she was no longer interested. Oh well, onwards and upwards.

I've managed to get another three orders while I've been visiting family in Scarborough over the last week or so. One off my grandma, one off the OH's sister and one off the OH's dad. I'm expecting the OH's dad to order again at some point, he put quite a large order in, and his sister might order again as well. My grandma might but I'm not as sure. I'm also hopefully meeting an old friend on Sat, all being well, who sells natural remedies for a living so this sort of stuff is right up his alley. So I might well get an order off him too if I'm lucky. :j

Wikaniko has complete redone its website over the weekend and added tons of new products. :D Typically, we're suffering from first day errors and the site's running very slowly atm. So I wouldn't recommend members of the public to try getting on right now. In fact, I think the main site might still be shut. From what I can see so far, the new site looks great and once they get the speed up to normal, it should be a brilliant resource. :D

I'm travelling back to Bath again on the 10th and should be doing my first catalogue drop on the 14th. I'll also have a chance to check what the minimum payment on my CC is for this month and to see if Lloyds have wrote back about my PPI refund yet. Also, I can get back to clearing out my room via Ebay and possibly set up some mystery shops as well. I haven't done any in a while but I know they're a good way of making extra cash off loose change which I'll have a lot more of once I start doing catalogue drops again.

I'm not back to work until the 13th which has timed itself nicely as there's a new Sims 3 expansion pack coming out this Fri, which should be waiting for me when I get back (if the postman values his life. :rotfl:) So I've got a few days to waste playing that. I didn't actually book the extra few days off for that reason, I'm not that sad, it just happens to have fallen that way. It's a silly thing to get excited about but we all need something to look forward to. :)

Anyway, after that marathon of a post, I should probably get on with having a slightly late lunch. I'll try to write again before I go back to Bath but if I don't have time, I'll update you all when I get back. That's if anyone's actually reading this. I know Pap keeps thanking all my posts but she never writes anything and other than her, I don't know who else's reading this. (Hint, hint. :rotfl:) Talk soon.

  • Evening GMLM, have you thought about widening your avenues and maybe setting up a facebook page and allowing postage? You could also use the page as a 'advert' for your downlines?

That's a good idea about the Facebook page, I'll look into that. Postage is allowed through the website, which has a lot more products than the catalogues so I'll be looking to promote that separately as well. I can send a link to the site via PM to anyone who's interested in having a look. I can't really post the link on here though, the mods'd take it down. But if anyone's interested in looking, just let me know.

  • Hi,

Only one more Wonga payment to go! :j I'm in for rather a rough month this month as after my rent and Wonga, I've been left with not very much at all. But I should also be able to do more hours at work as some of the students will be back so it'll be busy again (I hope). That'll certainly help when next month's wages turn up.

I'm also planning to continue with the clearing out when I get back and seeing if I can get a bit of spare cash from selling some stuff. Plus, I start with the cataloguing soon. :) There's leads to follow up and a team member to show the ropes to so it's going to be a very busy month. I'll do my best to keep posting on here regularly though, even when it doesn't feel like I have anything particularly interesting to say. Anyway, better go get some breakfast. I'll write again soon.

  • Hi,

I'm back in Bath again now. I was quite upset last night about having to leave my grandparents, especially when my grandad's not well. But I feel a lot better after a good night's sleep. After all, I can't make any progress with my life by staying with my family. And I'll be able to go back up to see them at New Year, which isn't that far away really.

I got £88.58 back for my PPI claim! :j I'll be honest, I was hoping for more but it'll be enough to get me through this month. I'm nipping down to the bank with the cheque after lunch. No sign of my Sims game so that's another free month of Amazon Prime. My catalogues have arrived but the bags I ordered elsewhere to put them in haven't yet so I can't drop them off just yet. I've shredded some paperwork and I'll do some more later. Washing's in the machine and I feel a lot more settled now. Better get lunch now. 'Talk' soon.

  • Hi,

My mum said something on the phone earlier that really made me think. She said that if I miss my grandparents that much, then what's to stop me moving closer to them? One answer being that I'm tied into a contract at this flat until July. But after that, nothing's really keeping me here. I came to Bath to go to university which hasn't exactly gone swimmingly, it must be said. I've spent 5 years at it and aren't any closer to finishing than I was in my 2nd year. I'm unsure as to where I stand about ever finishing atm. So why not say that whatever happens, I'll go back to Yorkshire in July? The idea's only just been put in my head earlier tonight so I certainly don't want to make any snap decisions about it but right now, I can't see any reason why not.

  • Hi,

Back at work tonight, I won't pretend I'm looking forward to it in the slightest. I'm not in a great place right now so I won't write too much as I want this diary to remain positive. Save to say however that this hasn't been one of my most productive days today. Let's hope the rest of today (and hopefully tomorrow) is better.

  • Hi,

Not much happened today. I've done a mystery shop and I'm just inputting the results now. I nearly put it off until tomorrow because I thought I wouldn't make it there within the time frame but I'm glad I didn't as I got there 1/2 an hour before the end of the time I could shop. So that'll be a bit of extra money come next month. My PPI cheque seems to have cashed a day early so as soon as my Housing Benefit money comes in on Mon, I can do my budget for the rest of this month. Other than that, not much to report, really.

  • Hi,

Sorry I've gone AWOL for so long. Basically, I had a bit of a nervous breakdown.

I was a student but I was really struggling with the workload, I had essays outstanding for an appallingly long time and eventually, the uni said I wasn't allowed to defer them any more and they'd have to let me go. Going to university had been all my life had ever been gearing towards, I never had any life plan besides that. Which was probably why I was struggling so much with the work, I was trying to put of going out into the wide world.

As you can imagine, being told that I couldn't do the only thing I'd ever planned in my life was devastating. I was fine for a couple of months, other than disappearing off these forums for a while, then one day I found myself shaking and crying at the thought of going to work and couldn't go in! I've been off sick for about a month now, though my boss, being the utter moron he is (how the store hasn't shut before now I have no idea, if he was any more laid back, he'd fall over), failed to tell the other manager who deals with wages that I was off sick, she thought I'd just left, so my sick pay wasn't processed. I've got onto them today and she's going to try and push it through before next month's pay cycle. If she can't manage it, I'm going to suggest that they just give me the money then sub it off next month's wages.

Anyway, that's pretty much all that's happened with me. I probably won't post again for about a week or so as I'm staying with my boyfriend's family atm so nothing money related is likely to happen until I go back to Bath next week. So hopefully, you should hear from me then.

  • Work can't just give me the money in cash. Just what I needed to hear. I guess the landlord'll have to wait a bit longer for his rent.
