Just seen your diary as I was pondering doing one of my own (again!) to stop my random mumblings taking over 10 steps!
Sorry you were given a rough time on the other board - keep your chin up honey xxx

First night back at work tonight and I'm terrified. I've got so many different worries running around in my head that I just don't know where to start. I'm worried my boss won't have got the message about me not being able to make it in on Tues and won't want me working there after all (first part likely, second part not). I'm worried my float or some notes will drop out of my pocket and I'll be short at the end of the night, as I used to keep them in a zipped up purse which I can't find (unlikely, considering how often I'm likely to check). I'm worried I'll get a delivery I can't find (it's happened before and I've never liked it though how likely it'll happen tonight, I'm not sure. Probably not so much as last time as I can search on my phone now). I'm worried I'll have forgotten how to do the job (I'll have forgotten elements but I doubt I'll have forgotten everything). I know most of the fears are irrational and I'll calm down once I get in and get started, I just can't stop them going around in my mind.:(
Things aren't entirely bad though, I got to threaten one of those PC virus scammers with the TPS earlier, she hung up faster than me! :rotfl: It's been a while since I've had a live one, I keep getting those recorded PPI messages instead. And I know tonight is the first step towards getting debt free and building a future for myself. It's just really nerve-wracking not knowing what's going to happen yet.

Hi,
Work went ok last night. I managed not to lose any money, although the guy cashing me out at the end of the night evidently can't add up as he came up with three different figures as to how much money I'd just given him, the last one which ended up eating most of my tips! I was too tired to ask him to add it up again so I just went home. I managed to nab a free large pizza for dinner on the way home as there was a huge pile of mistakes going free. I don't remember seeing that many on a Fri night before, must've been a bad night. It was someone random that was vegetarian and I finished about half of it before the very hot thing on it that I couldn't work out what it was got the better of me.
I'm in again at 5:30 tonight and apparently, we're going to have a busy one as the guy felt the need to call me to check I was coming in. Nice to know how much they trust me. The petrol allowance is up to 90p a delivery, which actually seems to cover the deliveries I did.
In other news, Wonga are refusing to set up a new repayment plan by e-mail. They say they can only do it by phone. So they're getting one phone call on Mon when they open again and if they get gobby with me, it'll be by letter from now on. I've made a tiny bit of progress on the CC debt, though I suspect those numbers will shoot up higher than the original number in a few days, once they add this month's interest and charges on.
I have some money from the time I was signed off coming in on Tues (I'm not sure how much) and then about £72.96, maybe a bit higher, coming in on Fri from my first week's wages in arrears. That is providing I can get 4 hours a night's worth of work for the next 2 nights. So that should help me to make some progress on a few unpaid bills, put some money aside for the next rent payment and knock down a few of the debts a bit. I finally feel like things are coming along.

Well, Lloyds have replied to my letter and their reply is no help whatsoever. It turns out the template letter on the main site is a CCA request, which doesn't seem to give any information on PPI at all. I'm thinking of trying a SAR next and seeing if that comes up with any more relevant information.
I warily asked for information on the PPI reclaims board and it was like banging my head against a brick wall. They all seem to think that if there was PPI on the account and I think I was mis-sold, to just get on with the reclaiming. But I can't prove I was mis-sold until the bank send me proof that only people working 16 hours or more could claim on the policy. And I don't want to talk to them on the phone in case they just deny whatever they said when I write in. I think I'll take a bit of time to think it over. I can't do anything until tomorrow at the earliest anyway.

This is the second time the forum's lost my post. Everything's fine at this end, work's taking up a lot of time so I haven't been able to post much. I seem to have been underpaid so I'll have to chase that up tonight, hope they haven't put me on emergency tax again, it's a nightmare getting that reclaimed. Also need to call into the job centre about an underpayment off them as they don't seem to have a number that isn't 0845. Eventually, I might get the money I was expecting, you never know. Anyway, better get a move on before it eats this post too. 'Talk' soon (I hope).

Hi,
I've woken up far too earlier, especially considering I didn't fall asleep until 2am. I'm planning on going back to sleep soon but first, I'm going to call Lloyds' PPI helpline when they open at 9 and see if I can get the ball rolling on my complaint. If I can save myself £10 on a SAR then so much the better.

PPI reclaim is now submitted! :j :j :j I spoke to a lovely, Welsh lady who did the claim over the phone with me there and then. I should get a confirmation letter with a reference code in the next 4 to 7 working days and then the decision letter within 8 weeks. From what I remember myself, if you get anything the money then arrives within the next 28 days after that. So with a bit of luck, I should have a payout before Xmas.

Hi,
Blimey, it's been a while since I posted! The gearbox went on my car on Tues night so I've been off work waiting for it to be fixed since then.
My mechanic's fitting a new one on Mon so hopefully, I'll be back at work Mon night. So it looks like I'll be doing some very long shifts when I get back to make up for it.
It's not all bad news though. I had an interview today for the job I applied for at the Money Shop ages ago and I think I did ok. Although their products aren't something I'd be very comfortable selling in the long term, experience in a sales role could be very useful for my project. I'm not sure I'll get the job though as the CV I handed in had the Betterware job listed on it and me and my boss from that job parted on bad terms a couple of days after handing said CV in so I suspect my references will let me down.
But it was good experience in an interview situation and hopefully will help get rid of future fears in interviews as I didn't leave the place thinking that I'd completely mucked up.
All in all, life is moving on slowly but surely. I've make another payment on the CC recently and by the end of the month, I should be back within my credit limit.:j I've just closed the card as Halifax decided they wanted to up my interest rate () so as least I know the temptation to use the card again when I'm back below the limit is gone. Now hopefully, my driver's licence will arrive back from the DVLA soon and I can change bank accounts. Then I can start chipping away at my overdraft too.
