    Crikey! I adore my niece to bits, I can't have children and she is the closest I will ever get to having children that are related to me but even that would be a step to far, i'd never dream of tattooing her name and DOB on me! I suppose the only time I possibly would do it is if something dreadful happened to her and we lost her. This as a tiny tribute to someone you hold so dear I can then understand. What your friend has done is just plain weird.

    Hmmm, maybe not odd for her getting a tattoo, but a bit strange she wouldn't acknowledge his birthday etc when it is so clearly visible to her on her leg!!
