Vodafone default - not my fault - how to remove? *RESOLVED*

    I have been having an issue with an old Vodafone account. I have followed the link in the thread above and sent the details here to vodafone directly.

    I have recently checked my credit report as part of a mortgage application. I have discovered a default from an old Vodafone account, from 2011.
    I was not made aware of this default by Vodafone and when I contacted the instant chat team on the website I was told that the account was being held by CapQuest and that I should contact them/ I contacted CapQuest this evening and they told me on the phone that they did have the account in 2011, but that it was passed back to Vodafone also in 2011. I was not informed of any of this at the time.
    The outstanding balance is £158. I am willing to pay the full amount, but i want the default to be removed from my credit history as I feel Vodafone have taken this action without informing me.
