  • The banana bread/loaf/cake is great - made some today after finding this recipe. Was a bit worried that it may be a bit too sweet so left out the sugar and it's still really good without the sugar.

    I add golden syrup to the mixture of my banana bread as it gives it a bit of a caramel texture.

    these are lovely and soooo easy.
    just make up some usual batter mix, then finely mash up 2 over ripe bananas and add them to the batter mix. whisk up until all the banana/batter mix is smooth.
    then cook as per normal pancakes.
    delicious served with ice cream.
    really cheap and tasty.
    my kids just love them.....

    I was just wondering if i could make anything with about 6 overipe bananas? ... other than throw them away?

    Ive never cooked anything with bananas before i only do the usual buns and flapjack so any ideas would be great ..... Simple recipes especially then could get my 13 yr old in on the plan to lol .
