Baked bananas?
Place on some silver foil, cut them in half, dot with pieces of plain choc along the length of the banana, splash with a good glug of rum, and whack in the oven (220) for 20 mins. Yum!0 -

On a campfire we'd run a knife down the inside of the curve, fill with cadburies instant drinking chocolate and add a little water and put straight onto the fire. As the banana warmed the banana absorbed the chocolate flavour and became oh-so-delicious - same as the tinfoil recipe above!Tim0

I'm not a big banana lover, don't like anything banana flavoured.
I regularly make the following recipe which everyone including me loves
Banana Muffins
I don't use wheat bran so subsitute extra wholemeal flour, I also add glace cherry halves (I rinse under the hot tap to remove sugar first).
I use this recipe to make muffins and loves and it freezes very well.0 -
I made a thing from the Observer magazine this weekend (my mum's copy naturally!!) which was just yoghurt and banana whizzed together and frozen. I pulled it out a couple of times and beat ti again like icecream and at the last folded in some cruched biscuits that no-one liked. It tastes good and not very banana - ey and is going to be served to dh's familytonight. I used 3 big bananas and a 500g pot of yoghurt“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”
