  • I often make banana bread because I always seem to have a banana going off. I stick them in the freezer until I have enough for the bread. The silly thing is that I don't really like the bread much so I take it into work. Alternatively I freeze the bread and use it in a banoffee trifle which I make on high days and holidays.

  • What about banana muffins? I love banana muffins and buy extra bananas now and then for them to go spotty intentionally!

Maybe they'll associate the spotty bananas with banana bread but not muffins?

    Hi tra,

They go a bit mushy once they are defrosted but they don't go black. Have a look at this older thread:

You could make banana lollies - dip them in melted chocolate, roll in hundred & thousands, wrap in clingfilm & freeze.

That, or chuck them in a smoothie.
  • :j Bananas hidden in custard, you have not lived until you try this one.:j
