Debt 2 has been repayed :j
I have £15 saved in Amazon vouchers and am waiting for £5. Unsure what I am doing with these now... Still saving though :rotfl:
Debt 1 is 'ok', min is due in two weeks which I can cover + some more.
Debt 1has increased its limit if anything went wrong with the car I now have a 'net'.
For three weeks I will be chipping in for Mum's main Christmas gift.
This week after bills/debt repayments/rent and a thank you gift I still have quite a large buffer. So I am going to pay for my shoebox transportation (£18) and prob save the remainder (£50) for christmas/boots/meal with Mum.
At the moment I have very little needs, I have been doing ok with three bras I need no toiletries and I certainly need nothing for home. The only things I do need are walking boots and some mounts for my frames. I have seen some boots at the shopping centre I went to this week but will look at pleaces closer to home first. Also I need to get to that restrant in town within the next three weeks and spend that £20 voucher. Might book it for the next weekend we are off
Other than that I am happy, healthy and enjoting life :j0 -

Awww thanks Toots, I am a 5 but take 6 in some things like boots. Thank you for the offer though. It actually didn't rain at all in the day time and if it did it was passing drizzle, ie 1 min and then it stoped. It was overnight that was awful and a poorly designed tent. I loved camping when I was younger, I remember in scouts camping knee high to mud and still loved it! However never went when I was older because its not the 'done' thing, well it is now, for me anyway. Mum says she wants to come next time (won't go again until next season) so when I am looking at tents I am going to look for 4 man plus, with sewn in ground sheets :rotfl:0 -
Hi,
The holiday has certainly done you good: you're sounding so much more positive about things.
BTW, the restaurant offer still seems to be running. There's nothing to stop your Mum getting a card, too. People have been using two at the same time with no problems. (Have a look on the Freebies board.) There is such a thing as a free lunch!

SO glad you had a lovely time.
All part of a learning curve re tent I suppose.

Oh yes you do need a sewn in ground sheet otherwise everything gets a bit damp. Shame the boots are too big, I got them on amazon in the Christmas sale so if you can build up your tokens that might do it. Sounds like you have everything " under control".0

GF, thanks :T I did suggest it to Mum but sadly my brother has lost her email password and although I have one for my survey sites/offers/junk its too alike to my name so can't use that. Even if I did I couldn't use it with the one I have as it won't get here in time, mine expires 13th ish of Nov.
Beanie, thankyou. The thing is when I was setting up thought about trying to make my tarps intop a bathtub ground sheet but for some reason never did. The boots only cost me £10 last year so effectively less than a 1/4 of a pence per day to own. Not too shabby!
Toots, all the tents I have used before have has SIG's and the ones I was looking to purchase had too, except three, and this was one. Now Mum maybe coming I will be looking at bigger tents and the majority of those have SIG's as standard.
Well I have sorted christmas really, its just a case of buying/ordering so I had an idea of saving my Amazon vouchers for a tent. However after you gave me the idea I went for a dig... I have seen a few pairs I quite like, some cheap some a bit more expensive, however using the £20 I have saved (once the last code comes through) and a 20% off voucher for signing up to an email I could get these for £8 or these for £16. I prefer the latter, maybe I could get another £5 voucher this week which would make them £11? I definately need to get some soon ie before the end of Nov and these are much better than the £40 ones I saw in the outlet shopping centre.

They are a quality make and good boots are worth it, if we get snow they will be a great help. If you did that then you could save your future vouchers against a tent as you won't need that until spring but you may need waterproof boots before Christmas.0

Toots, thanks I must say all my walking boots have been second hand or passed down. Not that it bothers me! But it would be good to have a really nice pair I have chosenpostingalwaysposting wrote: »...maybe I could get another £5 voucher this week which would make them £11?
Another £5 voucher redeemed, I am tempted though to try for another £5 voucher this week. I have two days off next week so I know if I put the effort in I will reach that. Which would then make the boots £6
Not much happening here, I have had a few small spends... £3.49 for screen wash and £1.97 for glow sticks. Will pay for my shoeboxes tonight and have already paid £20 rent this week :T
Hoping to pay £50 off my debt tomorrowI have also seen some shoes I like for work (I have been wearing trainers since the car situation) in a local shop for £15 so will try and stretch to those too.
Hope those who wanted/didn't want treat or treaters have had a pleasent night.0 -
