  • Just had it, went really well, the only slip up is 'why did you leave work' :o Had to be honest I hope I have explained it well. Now awaiting an email/phone call :)

Cv done... Now off to apply for the 3 jobs and search for more :T

Unsuccessful, I have now changed 'medical advice' to 'achieve a more complex role'. I am unsure what i am going to say at interviews though, I mean why would any 'sane' person leave full time employment?

Anyway between yesterday and today I have managed 8 applications (ranging from receptionist, till work, order picker and health care assistant - nhs based) and written a cover letter. I still have a list of 9 to complete but some require cover letters/CV's which means another trip to the library. I am going to type up all the cover letters I need and go to the library on Thursday. I don't think my brain can function for anymore, with all those already applied for, looking back through JSA conditions/sactions and 6 hours of maths my brain is frazzled!

I have my JSA interview this week too, it's not at the local centre which is strange but nevermind. Ebay is up to £23 which is heading straight off the CC. I have also looked through my employment contract and as I have taken no holiday this year I should be payed till Monday. So I am loking at approx 10 days pay, paid sometime. That will be a CC payment too.

Now I am off to check to see if I have any surveys to complete then I will be off to bed :rotfl:

Hi Pap, I agree that you have to have a truthfulish reason for leaving work, depending on what you apply for would the " I need to have more than three days notice of what shifts I am working as I am going to night school to improve my qualifications" work. Truthful, shows you are diligent and keen etc, etc.

Thanks Toots, although I am not going to night shcool or further education so thats a lie :o

Umm just had my exit 'interview' (that title leaves a lot to be desired). Apprently I need to apply for work with no responsibility (umm doesnt ALL jobs have responsibilities?) and I am unreliable due to my sickness (yes sickness caused by YOU and YOUR company all of which I have sicknotes for) :( So if that is my 'reference' I have to sell myself awfully well to get any type of job.

Anyway I have seen voluntary jobs in local charity shops so I am going to ask tommorow at my JSA appointment if I can do voluntary work while claiming. That's if they even let me claim/pay me :o

4 Jobs applied for so far today, huge range of stuff.... More added to my list due to more jobs being released today. I saw a job offered in Newport but the train fare costs the same amount as I would be paid.

Another 'interview' (JSA) tomorrow to take another mental beating... Bring it on!

  • Evening all, it s with great sadness that I am going to inform you that Paps Penny's will be no more after this post! That doesn't mean to say you get rid of me that easily :rotfl: I still follow some of your journeys and am an avid user here....

However some people 'know' me here and some of those I don't want to disclose any more information too than is already on this site under this user name. So I have jumped ship and will be continuing my journey through a protected site that only allows readers I choose to access my rambles. So any of you who have conversed with me or know me from meets etc and want to follow my journey here on out - with other random posts thrown in for good measure ;) Feel free to PM me... I am a duck out of water so I am unsure how it will work but fingers crossed it will.

Thank you all for your advice, support and encouragement over the years I have had diarys here. You are all such a tremendous help and partake here with such loving and open heart's. I thank you all dearly.

    Much love

    Pap :grinheart
