  • Wednesday Beanie :j

Decided to go to the Abbey next week, will cost about £10 in taxis but parking is just as much. Entrance will be £6 :D

Bit  at the moment, most of it home life. Plus people expecting pie in the sky xmas gifts. Can't wait to get away!

Oh another £5 voucher on Tuesday, can't cash it out though :o

Have a good weekend all :T

  • Well I asked for ideas, where they think I will get £25 each for them I have no idea! Thats over 5 hours work each! No way

Anyways, checked my Debt 1 and the sig is now up to date, it was under by £17.03 so not too bad! I need to pay more off asap though :o

Wages tomorrow will be split - bills/rent/petrol/£10 taxi/£10 entry & spends and the remainder for food while away.

Next Friday (25th) I will clear Debt 2 and my aim is on the 1st to be <£800 with Debt 1 :D
  • Well payday wasn't so bad...

    £40.00 bills
    £40.00 rent
£40.82 petrol, full tank but will not need to top up next week ;)
    £14.82 groceries for holiday

£60 into spends account. I will need to use £10 for fresh foods/bread etc but thats £50 to take away/emergencies. Taxi is £10-£12 and entry to the Abbey is £6 so I will have at least £35 remaining :T If I bring anything back it will go towards Debt 1 because Debt 2 is sorted :D

Thanks to GF I now have a restrant card that has £20 pre loaded, so I have told Mum I will take he out for lunch/dinner before it expires. It will cost me approx £5 + drinks but its a free lunch really! Will do that the first week in Nov prob depending on pay etc.

Still plugging away for points but bit slow these past few days... Not grumbling though :rotfl:

One more work day till holiday :j

The holiday was amazing! Just what I needed but could have done with a few more days. However all in all it was an amazing weekend and I will certianly go back to that camp site and prob take Mum :D

I wasn't supposed to come home until tomorrow but certain factors mean I left about 5pm today. The main one being a really poorly designed tent, I am now so glad I didn't end up buying one of those. I will prob take it out again next year but when I come to buy one I will look for something much better. Also I need new walking boots, I walked everywhere (including to Glastonbury and back) and I would complete two or three of there walks a day (longest was 3miles) well my 2nd hand walking boots starting leaking on the second day but I thought nothing of it and decidede they prob needed recoating in waterproof stuff. Today I sat down after a 9mile walk and the sole of my right shoe is peeling off, I could see my sock through the join  That left me with either my work shoes or crocs to wear... Not great when we are facing a 'storm' tonight :rotfl: So I did the sensible thing and packed up while the tent was a dryish and took the long route home.

    So spends..

    £7.00 abbey entry
    £0.92 postcards from abbey
    £3.40 lunch in Glastonbury
£3.00 jumper in charity shop (I only packed one jumper doh)
£1.00 Soumerset rural museum donation (to see lace drawings)
£2.50 postcards from above and a gift for a friend
£2.00 cake and choc from the site shop
    £3.00 parking at Street
£1.85 bottle of water (to get change for parking)
    £1.99 3* socks (leaky boots)
    £4.20 china mug for mum
    £1.62 birthday card for mum
    £0.40 2* rolls for tea
£0.75 bird seed (my resident robin at the campsite)
£2.00 bath towel from charity shop (mine got soaked due to poorly designed tent)
£3.97 washing up bowl, socks, pegs and rope (to dry out soggy stuff from tent) :rotfl:
    £7.30 costa lunch :o

    £46.88 Not too bad!

Overall I had a fantastic time and will certainly go back :T

For once that circa £150 was money well spent!!

Hi pap, glad you enjoyed it, what size boots do you need? I have a spare pair but they are 7s . Sounds like a good site, the weather was pretty good for nearly November I thought about you when it was raining though, sounds like camping is definitely your kind of thing.
