Hi Pap, you are making great progress on all fronts. Good news about your holiday that will be fun. Bob on as Bradford people say!0

Hi,
I got a pack of tent pegs in Poundland (or it may have been the 99p shop) a couple of weeks ago. (Used them to fix some edging in the garden!)
Enjoy your holiday. You deserve it.
GF x0 -
Toots, thanks... :rotfl: @ Bob on, never heard that one before.
GF, doh, never thought of the £1 shop. I managed to get a water carrier and tarp sheet from there but never thought about tent pegs. Well I didn't know I would need them. I may go for a gander to the larger £1 shop on Sunday top see if they have them.
Can't wait for my holidayThe site looks amazing!
So just thought I would share that I have cashed in for my first £5 Amazon voucher :T So 8 days of approx 4hours work and allowing vids to run in the background has given me £5. I have been watching my download limit etc and it's not affecting it yet. So I have decided to aim for £30 in vouchers before the end of November which will be three of the six I need to purchase for. That will mean I only need to find cash for two token gifts <£5 and Mum's
Still only on three sites. Will prob sitck at that for the moment and add in bingo at the end of November/when my debt is sub £500.
Nearly the weekend all0 -
Ok good news... Got paid however strangely more than I ever imagined but can't look into it until my wage slip arrives. Maybe it's mileage week? Booked holiday £48 but had to pay using CC and then repayed £50 2 min later. Nearly 1/2 way already to my next £5 voucher.
Bad-ish news... I haven't logged into my CC account for a while because it doesn't work in FF only IE. I get text updates when I have paid/they recieve a payment and the min payment amounts/dates. Anyway that sig 'debt' doesn't include the shocking APRI nearly fainted! However I am not going to worry about it until I come back from my hols.
I still have £100, hence why I think a mistake has been made. Although that includes £40 petrol as I am not putting fuel in this week as in have over 3/4 of a tank. I am off out on Sunday to purchase a sleeping bag, one saucepan, one baking tray (to sit stove on - site requirement), tent pegs, 2/3 fleace blankets and a torch (and batteries) and that's me ready to go... Except food... I think! I also need a birthday card this week and I am having my hair cut Sunday night (£5).
Have a great weekend all, I am back out to work tonight0 -
The wage was correct, it was mileage week :j So payed an extra £29 from Debt 1. That still leaves me the £100. I took out £10 and have spent £1.44 on a birthday card and have £5 set aside for my hair. I have priced up the bits I need in Mum's work (as I get discount) so will head there on Sunday if I don't have any luck at the £1 shop etc. Fingers crossed I can make the final payment to Debt 2 or at least put aside some of the money for food once everything has been purchased.
Tomorrow I will be mostly making a windbreak (for my stove, the shop wanted £9) and doing surveys, lazy Pap! :rotfl:0 -

Aww thanks Beanie
The windbreak has been made. Its not very pleasing to the eye or very professional but it does the job and improves efficiency. Overal cost 99p and supplies from around the home. I also have enough points to cash out another £5 voucher, however I need to wait for a code through snail mail firstStill saving the points though.
Have also signed up to another survey site thanks to another MSE member so thats 3 + Quidco opinions. I will prob run with these now until I return from holiday as they seem to keep me busy. However it feels good that I am actually achieveing something in my spare time. Even if its only pennies :rotfl:0 -
Pap, lazy NEVER. Good news on your mileage and the windbreak. Make sure your waterproofing is up to date, if it is anything like this week-end you will need it! Vouchers are going brilliantly it really does seem to be worth it.
How's maths?0 -

How's maths?
:rotfl: Some may say differently!
Windbreak and stove have ben tested, work well, aaprox 3min to boil enough water for a flask of hot water. Prob a little more expensive than gas/alcohol but this s safer for me (at this stage). The tent has been tested ref putting up and throwing water over it. There are no leaks that I can see but thats not heavy rainIts supposed to rain Fri/Sat/Sun while I am away so I guess I will be bring the tent home to dry out :rotfl:
Yes vouchers are good! Some may say it's not worth the time/effort but if it helps me pay for Christmas. I may keep saving for a Amazon kindle Fire, I have the traditional Kindle and I love it but this would mean I am not tied to this pc... Plus I don;t know how long this will last now its at least 7years old.
Maths is great, this week was hard but one of the other students helped us all a lot! I have 3/4 things I want to practice so my folder plus ebay text book will be coming away with me :T Two more weeks and its half term
So todays spends... It looks a huge amount and its the most I have spent in one day for months. But I am now set for camping except food and a sleeping bag. The 99p shop/B&M/Range didn't have tent pegs
£1 shop -
- *camping* AA bateries, latern (instead of torch above), 3* mug shots, 2* soup, can opener, long gas lighter, roasting tray
- *home* face tissues, cottoin buds
- *home* cat litter liners, 2* bleach
- *halloween*4 sweets
= £15.00
Range -
- *camping* - 16 fuel blocks reduced
= £2.74
B&M -
- *camping* £1.99 frying pan, £2.99 saucepan
- *car* 79p air freshner
- *mum* £2.39 tena
= £8.16
Ikea -
- *camping* 25p bag, 95p candle, 95p candle, 80p chopping board, 70p untensils, 70p tote bag, £1.60 throw, £1.60 throw, £2 umbrella
- *home* £1 100 tea lights
= £10.55
= £3.90 - lunch in ikea
= £6.20 - costa coffee
Camping store -
- *camping* tent pegs and a mallett, if I had change it would ahve just been tent pegs
= £5.49
=£5.00 hair cut
Total = £57.04 :eek:
The sleeping bag will be £10 so with the above, plus everything I have already got = £48.05 to go camping plus the pitch. Obviously that doesn't include the tent but thats still a good price and I can go next year too :T
So thats £33.34 (after purchasing the sleeping bag) for saves for camping food or to put aside for bills etc. Not too shabby. Need to keep up my NSD weekdays though :rotfl:
Have a great week all :j0 -
Looking good Pap.
