What I want to know is how the >>> do they know my name and address as I am very careful who I disclose this to
My house is up for sale if that has anything to do with it

I am glad I found this tread as I have just started to get calls off these muppets.
I was going to complain to TPS but it seems pointless from reading this
The last call I did answer some of the questions but with incorrect info and by asking them "what would they like me to be" when they ask am I the owner and what age I am in the end I put my phone on the table and left them to it.
since I don't do much I think I will play with them for a few more days passes the time :)
The number comes up as " Private" when they call
Spending my time reading how to fix PC's,instead of looking at Facebook.

Just tell them you aren't the person they are asking for.

Doesn`t work, they just carry on talking over you.

I blast them with a rape alarm, burst a few eardrums.

  • So sick of these people calling, I have now decided to play them at their own game. Call 01923 281700 and ask for Samantha Pocock - Compliance Manager (clearly not doing a very good job as they don't seem to comply with TPS), then I ask her if she would mind completing a quick survey. Of course I don't bother waiting for her reply, I just get straight into asking her random questions like what is her favourite colour, who is her favourite actor etc etc....
For some reason she seems to think that calling her out of the blue is a bit rude.
I would suggest that everyone should call this number with their own survey until perhaps one day the penny might drop
  • Is anybody still getting calls from Consumer Lifestyles? They are calling me around 3 times a day. I asked them on Friday to take me off their lists and they just hang up.

This morning, out of curiousity, I answered a few of their questions, but they were pretty "random" - gas & electricity usage, broadband, home ownership, etc. I said they were random and this was obviously not a research call. I then asked for them to take me off their lists and end the call here - and they cut off.

Call always comes from a private number - as this is a company mobile I have to answer the calls as sometimes client calls can come from a private number, quite legitimitely.

Interested to see the initial post which indicates that the calls come from a business which is a part of Data Locator Group - can anybody confirm if this is still correct?

    ?
Unless you can put it into who calls me and find some evidence of who they are, it's a bit pointless speculating
  • I found their site Data Locator Group trading as Cinsumer Lifestyles. Companies House lists the director as Adrian John Williams who is a director of 64 companies Most of whom the correspondence addresses are the same. Check it out.
Anyway a stiffly worded email to suppress your details on the contact form should work, fingers crossed. I gave an Emil address I only use when I suspect junk mail in response
