Following a post by corpseguy I found an email address for the parent company in the UK. Here is the reply and email address: Thank you for your email. I can now confirm your details have been suppressed from our database to ensure you are not contacted by any further companies via Data Locator Group Ltd (DLG). Whilst every effort is made to stop further calls with immediate effect, this request can take up to 14 days to fully complete.
I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for any inconvenience caused. DLG are keen to suppress the details of any individual who do not wish to receive direct marketing as a result of our activity.
If you have any further queries please do not hesitate to contact myself.

Anyone know whether Consumer Lifestyles is linked to People's Opinion (02031988113)? I keep getting calls from PO2024 wins: LG 45" OLED curved gaming monitor, Lily O'Brien's chocolate truffles
Best wins: £500 of PC World vouchers, £1,000 of Argos vouchers, England vs. Scotland Fans Match, £1,000 Amazon Vouchers, Royal Ascot tickets & £2,000 watch, £2,000 Razer Blade Pro gaming laptop0 -
These folks have a new trick - You obviously know their other Sister Company known as Beneficial... I do!
Here is how I know their company though - which they did NOT think anyone would spot... THEY ADVERTISED THROUGH THE DWP FOR STAFF!!!
Yeah, you would not know it but they have done this... I picked it up by the Marketing slang used. 'Work From Home' 'Must have your own Phone' 'Regular hours' etc...
Basically, their marketing Jargon in their adverts while NOT directly advertising the company (They cannot do that as their whole system is fake! The Company is actually BLACKLISTED by the DWP due to complaints...) is very similar to another Marketing Company that I used to work for - Though who are Legitimate.
So, What their new game?
MOBILE PHONES! Each and Every time I get a call from Beneficial on Behalf of Consumer Lifestyles... Its a MOBILE NUMBER!
And as its a Mobile Number, Its an Individual and NOT teh company so they can try and deny any link... Sadly, THEY ARE WRONG! WE ALL KNOW WHO THEY ARE!!!
So, Consumer Lifestyles... I warned you! YOU ARE BEING REPORTED TO TEH CONSUMER STANDARDS AND I AM ALSO LOOKING TO SEEK A CIVIL SUIT AGAINST YOU FOR HARASSMENT!YOU BREACHED THE TPS LAWS AND YOU ALSO STOLE MY PHONE NUMBER - AND I KNOW WHERE FROM!!! (they stole it from Indeed where i have my CV...I only know this as I did NOT update my number for 6 months after I got my new phone... Plugged my old phone in and CONSUMER LIFESTYLES CALLED IT!!! The ONLY place left online that had THAT NUMBER!!!)0 -

Surely in the era of GDPR, we shouldn't be asking Consumer Lifestyles to simply suppress calls? This means they can still process your data and sell it on. We should be asking them to delete the data they hold now and indefinitely. The man without a signature.0 -
We have call guardian on the phone.
if the telephone number is not registered in it then the caller has to announce who they are. and I have the option whether to accept the call or not.
They don't bother to announce who they are and just hang up or it is a computer generated call and the computer can't answer so the call fails.
We were getting cold calls several times a day from computer generated calls which obviously just kept going round all the numbers that didn't answer ( we previously had caller display so didn't answer if we didn't recognise the number).
Now we don't know if they have called or not as if they don't announce who they are the call doesn't come through.0 -
I think the call attempts still appear in the call log (whether they announce or not), but blocked numbers (or number types) will simply not make the phone ring.
Like you we went from several cold calls a day to one or two per year by getting Call Guardian (built into our BT8500 phone set)..0 -
Yes, they show in the call log but they give up quicker when they don't get through.0

They’re calling me up to 5 times a day just different numbers but always that call centre bleep then take the call. They have an address for me from 6 years ago and always want to ask a few questions on your appliances. Then you’ll be inundated with calls to renew the warranty on those appliances. So many calls I shout now and they get abusive....0
