We purchased a CPR call blocker. Blocks any call at the touch of a button. You can also programme it,through your phone,to block any 'International' calls or any 'Caller Withheld' type.
It's simple to use so long as your phone has caller display, which is usually available for free from your provider. We're with Virgin,so it was free for us.
    £39.99. Money well spent. :T
  • I was receiving up to 8 calls a day from these people then I started keeping a whistle ( just a small freebie that was on my grandsons comic )beside the phone, every time they phoned, I blew the whistle as hard as I could down the phone. After two days the phone calls stopped, this was three weeks ago and to date have not recommenced:j
  • I have been looking into this company as im one of there victims from the abusive calls made by there indian call center, well after doing a bit of my own research I can see where they get the training from!

a bit more to the paper trail for them leads me to the green heys address, which is the registered address with companies house, the business is as follows

    @@@@@@CONSUMER LIFESTYLES LTD
    GREEN HEYS
    WALFORD ROAD
    ROSS-ON-WYE
    HEREFORDSHIRE
    ENGLAND
    HR9 5DB

the same address as this company

    Macintyre & Dodd

who are marketing consultants, on calling them I got a very rude lady claiming that I was talking a load of rubbish and they had nothing to do with the other company at all, I think they really need to check out their registration then with companies house as its the same people

Head Office: First Floor, Iveco House, Station Road, Watford, Herts, WD17 1SR Tel: 01923 281700.
DLG is the trading name of Data Locator Group Ltd, a subsidiary of DM plc, company no: 6742075
Registered in England at Green Heys, Walford Road, Ross-on-Wye, HR9 5DB.

also on looking at dlg the same address repears again also confirmed with companies house see below

    GREEN HEYS
    WALFORD ROAD
    ROSS ON WYE
    HEREFORDSHIRE

well thanks lady, didn't take me long to find this info, but I now have the address required for my first £50 invoice as the researchers still called again today after me warning them on the phone and also on there facebook page, funny tho, after me commenting on there it appears I have been blocked????? needless to say I will take this to the courts if I have too for every single time they call me I WILL bill them

I have been getting lots of calls from these people on a daily basis. After reading the other comments I rang 0192328723 which took me straight through to Hannah and she has 'suppressed' my details and says that I shouldn't get any calls after another 14 days.
    Wish I'd found this earlier!!!!

It would also help if I could type. 01923 281723 is the correct number.
    Sorry.

The Ross-on-Wye address DLG mention on their website is shared by quite a number of dormant and dissolved companies, some of which are 'outed' on other websites such as here, and an MSE thread from 2009 here.

    'nuff said.
  • Hey guys i thought id add my 2cents as i was targeted by cold callers and various marketing company's

and i found a way to stop them completely and free up my business time at the same time..

I use a company called National Call Service

What they do is act as a cold call blocker but at the same call answering service.. so I dont get bothered when im on the job as im a plumber and its annoying when my phone rings.. but any genuine enquires get sent by txt or emailed across for me to deal with when i get a minute!

I have a mate who has a bnb who uses it aswell! Defo recommend this service if your a 1 man band or just a couple of ya

I only pay em 30quid a month too... so way more cheaper than hiring a receptionist! and now i look the big time haha

there website is nationalcallservice co uk

    Have a gander

I just wanted to say thank you for this information. I work from home, so every time they call they are tying up my company line. I have endured the abusive calls before so just go through the 10-15 min questionnaire every time! Twice this morning! I look forward to 14 days and no more of these :)

NOTE The 0800 number is merely a machine that requests you leave all your details to be removed"

    or..01923 281700.

Head Office: 64 Clarendon Road, Watford, Herts, WD17 1DA.
    Tel:
    01923 281700. Fax: 01923 281723
DLG is the trading name of Data Locator Group Ltd, company no: 6742075, a subsidiary of DM plc

I called the 01925 number and spoke to a guy there he said they have added several New call centers and that could be why , but he was interested to hear that most of the operators were hanging up on me.

He also said my name wasn't in the system on my last name.. instead on a name form the previous owner almost 25 years ago.

    7 days to remove me...

I told him if i had another day of 12 calls i would be contacting Watch dog and putting a formal complaint to Oftel and i would be filing harassment charges against the company.

And now we play the waiting game... good luck everyone!

I have written to both addresses, the Watford address came back as 'Adresses has moved' and the individual at the Ross on Wye address refused to sign for my recorded delivery letter!!! I am going to go out of my way to pursue this further. I am only an hours drive away from that address...

When this happens, your best bet is to send another letter but don't send it recorded, simply get a proof of posting certificate for it.

With a refused delivery of a recorded delivery letter, the company can legitimately state that they didn't receive your letter, but with an unsigned for mailing, the law assumes that provided that it was correctly addressed and stamped, it will have been received in the timescale provided by the delivery company.
    7. References to service by post

Where an Act authorises or requires any document to be served by
post (whether the expression “serve” or the expression “give” or “send” or any
other expression is used) then, unless the contrary intention appears, the
service is deemed to be effected by properly addressing, pre-paying and posting
a letter containing the document and, unless the contrary is proved, to have
been effected at the time at which the letter would be delivered in the ordinary
    course of post
