I was away at Christmas at an address and phone number only known to my partner. He hadn't passed the info on to anyone. (Nothing secret about it - it just wasn't relevant!)

Whilst there I received a phone call from Consumer Lifestyles asking for me by name! I spoke to 'Alan' who said that he'd got my name and number from their database!

    How on earth.................................?

    Should I be worried.........................?

What can I do about it.....................?

Just found this thread, thanks for all the info, :j was getting sick of them ringing 3 times a day, I have to answer the phone and as am on the transplant list, so can't just ignore the call
  • I contacted the company directly complaining about the call I got (above). It turns out that a lot of the callls aren't from the UK Consumer Lifestyles company at all even though they say they are.. They're from a company in Germany using the same name, but not connected!
  • Hi all - first post.....just to let you know Lifestyle have called for the second time this afternoon, even though I've asked them to remove me from list.

So - while I'm typing this I've left my puppy to talk to the caller - he's been howling, grunting and gagging at her for 5 minutes now.

Will report back if they are daft enough to call me again.....;)
  • Don't worry they will, I just received my second call in 2 days, so I googled to here and called their 019x number, spoke to a very nice young lady who found me on their database and removed me, so will see what happens after 14 days are up
  • I called 01923 281700 and spoke to a very polite person who promised to remove me from the data base.
We will see what happens now;)
  • I got a phone call from this lot today, an 0207 number and am also registered with the telephone service that should block unwanted calls!!
  • Having googled UK Lifestyle Survey nuisance calls I discovered the above thread. I would like to thank everyone for the posting of the company's phone number. I called 01923 281700 and spoke to a very polite man who confirmed that I was on their database despite me being registered with TPS. He said he would now remove my number and after 14 days I shouldn't get any more calls. I hope it works.
