I didn't faff with any of that... I just got a TrueCall system (with Amazon vouchers from doing surveys etc) and haven't had a single marketing call from any company since :j (I've had it nearly a year now).0
-
Getting fed up of these calls myself, receiving 2-3 calls a day now all from what sound like foreign call centres.

(Select Consumer Zone when the website loads)
Have tried the 0800 number as shown here and also emailed them. Will see if that works.0 -

DLG is the trading name of Data Locator Group Ltd, company no: 6742075, a subsidiary of DM plc
Registered in England at Green Heys, Walford Road, Ross-on-Wye, HR9 5DB.I called the 01925 number and spoke to a guy there he said they have added several New call centers and that could be why , but he was interested to hear that most of the operators were hanging up on me.
He also said my name wasn't in the system on my last name.. instead on a name form the previous owner almost 25 years ago.
7 days to remove me...
I told him if i had another day of 12 calls i would be contacting Watch dog and putting a formal complaint to Oftel and i would be filing harassment charges against the company.
And now we play the waiting game... good luck everyone!
Rang this number and told them I wanted to be removed from their database. Was told it would take 14 days to take effect.0 -
As a positive note I have to say since contacting them back in July all the calls have stopped and we haven't received a single one from Consumer Lifestyles.
Now all I need to do is working out why I am getting daily calls from various companies on PPI and try and stop them.0 -
It's extraordinarily unusual (I've never heard of it happening) to get 0844 calls free.
Since the callee gets an amount per minute from each call the telephone provider would be making a loss each time such a number was called.
I get them free on my mobile (or I should say, included in my contract package)0 -
I was getting 2 to 4 nuisance/cold call/marketing calls per day. My caller display would indicate "International", "Caller withheld", or actual number calling. 2 weeks ago, I bought a CPR call blocker £39.99 (Includes postage). Arrived 3 days later. Eezee peezee to set up. Fantastic, not one nuisance call in 2 wks.0

Don't bother to ask the caller from India?? to remove you from their database. They just reply that they cannot do it and when you insist on then speaking so someone who can become extremely abusive. Interesting to record what they say then forward it to police and/or telephone company as being an abusive call. Guess that the call centre folks have not been advised that making abusive comments on the telephone escalates the offensive nature of their calls.0

I have just called the 0800 number posted by corpseguy (0800 0526871) and left my details. The message said that I would be removed from their list and that of their third party partners, so fingers crossed0
