Some people need a bit more than the free allowance, so they get money for that.
They send you an email with "special offers" a couple of times a week.
There are ads on their website.
And they don't have to pay for advertising, sales commissions etc cos they get customers from people recommending them.0 -
I've just put an Ovivo sim in my phone so we'll see how it goes0

This looks interesting. Anyone any experience of Ovivo with a Galaxy Tab 2?
The website suggests there's a 'free' data allowance of 500mb per month, with no top-ups. There's obviously a catch somewhere, which I'm not spotting?0 -
There isn't a catch.
I've been with them since August. I can't understand why people pay lots of money for contracts.
Their CS is good as well.
If it ever goes downhill or the terms become less favourable, you can always port out to another company.0 -

The 500MB per month is for the mobile internet sim which is meant for using in a tablet or dongle. There is no call or text allowance with that one.
The sim for phones is 100 mins, 100 texts and 200MB data.0 -

That's just what I'm looking for - some free monthly data for a Galaxy Tab 2 tablet.
Thanks for confirming - I'll go for it, then.0 -
My number ported over today no problem so a thumbs up so far0

Do you have to pay to retrieve voicemail messages ?
How do you turn voicemail on/off ?0 -
yes you do need to pay to retrieve voicemail - I think it is 6p per minute, but check the website.
If you have an android, you can turn voicemail on one of the sub-menus from the phone settings button.0
