Well I was on T-Mobile for a month before switching to ovivo and everything was fine then (Nokia Lumia 520)
I'm not a big caller or data user so for free, I shouldn't really complain, I also just wanted to know if It was a problem with my area/phone, or if others were experiencing the same thing.
I won't be leaving ovivo, its free! But its just annoying when you have gone through the rigmarole of "press 1 for this, then 2 for this, 4 for this", finally get put through to a human, then 10 seconds later, get "call dropped" aaaaaahhhhhhh!0 -
I've got an Ovivo SIM which I use occasionally in a spare phone.
Not sure I'd use it as my main line though.0 -

Also the other member who claimed to have been with them for 18 months and never spent a single penny of his credit seems to be rather unique given that Ovivo actively encourages running out of free minutes and using up your paid minutes by failing to send any form of automatic warning either just before or when you no longer have any free minutes remaining that month. Also the £15 credit on joining only occurred more recently as to begin with you only had to pay £5 for a SIM and got £5 credit (rather than pay £20 with £15 credit). So I highly doubt this person has actually been with Ovivo since the start in summer 2012.
I have been with them since October 2011 and would still have all of my credit if i had not used some of it for calling my wife when she was abroad last year.
I have never topped up and the reason they do not charge me is I don't run out of data, I keep an eye on it or even plan it, if I think I will over use data I use up my allowance by a long way them buy a £10 goodie bag from giffgaff (oh yeah dual sim phone can swap between the two) or will swap to giffgaff payg data as it is cheaper than Ovivo's, if it will be a small data over run (a day or 5).
This is a free service why do you think they should shell out money making sure the !!!!less know when they are running out? It is on the website log in check it every day, use the meter that may be on your phone, my phone warns me because I have set it up to do so.I started with nothing and I am proud to say I still have most of it left.0 -

) I myself am a light user of it although my mother uses hers every day and I have peace of mind that should she use her allowance she will be able to contact me should the need arise without the need to keep tabs on it
As some members know my main phones are with O2 business and private with an EE for back up and the Ovivo which replaced the other back up which was Vodaphone. As some members also know it's essential that I have 24 hour contact no matter where I am in the country and as no single network can do that I use a few networks besides O2
As far as I'm concerned using Ovivo has saved me over £400 up to now with no problems. Which is what MSE is all about.NonGeographicalMan wrote: »I would suggest that the forum management is likely to take a very dim view about such a trolling and inflammatory style of posting and would therefore suggest that you desist from making posts of this kind forthwith.

The problem seems to be that because for some of you having a free mobile service is an all important consideration above all others (such as reliability or data speed) you are not prepared to allow any constructive criticism of the way this company runs its services or interacts with its customers.0 -

If you need to be contactable wherever you are then there is a choice of various Pay As You Go networks that can access one of the five actual UK mobile networks (soon to become only three when EE/Orange and Vodafone/O2's transmitters are fully integrated) for incoming calls for one or two top ups of just £5 per year to keep the incoming call facility going.
Also if being in touch with you everywhere in the UK is as important as you claim (given that around 35% or more of the UK landmass still has no mobile signal at all) then surely you could get a satellite phone to cover that eventuality.0 -

So you admit your facts only have a "basis" in fact & events ? Therefore they may well not be "the truth the whole truth & nothing but the truth" me lord ! LOL .
The problem is that we are only hearing YOUR side of the story which as has been said you have repeated multiple times on various threads & even in the same thread. Make your point once in a thread & leave it at that.
Personally I have phones with Tmobile, O2, 3, & Ovivo as I need to be on call between 3 businesses 24 hours a day0
