Ah shucks guys, thanks for all your support. It really does mean a lot. xx
Part Mouse - chin up, one day at a time. Keep yourself busy and think happy thoughts.
Anablle - good luck today, you haven't started from day one because you have broken the habit of smoking, now you just have a bit of psychological warfare to contend with with the nicotine withdrawal. But you CAN do it.
Good luck guys.Smoke Free since 1 January 20130 -

Sue xxxYay Yay, officially recognised by Sue as the longest I have ever gone without smoking!!!!! Go me!
I am so chuffed. Resolve and willpower have only been attributes that I have seen in other people and wistfully envied from afar - but that is me!!!
Reading posts from previous ex-smokers like mandz1 really spur me on. They have done it, so I can bloomin well do it!
Yeeeeee-haaaaaah, warez!!!!!!! :j:T:T:j Your sheer guts and determination have got you to where you are today AND, I'm sure have inspired many in doing so! Congratulations!!!!!! :T
I know what I think your next goal might be, but that's for you to decide, no one else! Whatever it is, aside from tomorrow of course, use that resolve to get you to it...following others who've got there before too!
No profound words of wisdom, you think, I reckon those below are perfect for many.
Keep go go going, warez!!!!!

Morning Part Mouse! Congratulations for having remained fag-free for all this time, which, if you don't mind me saying so, is GREAT for you lately!!!!! :T
It just goes to prove that YOU REALLY CAN DO IT!!!! It's no good thinking..well I can do x amount of days, but not give it up, because I'm positive you can - and will!! Come on, PM, don't let you down..keep on pushing ahead!
How about doodling with a sheet of paper and a pencil? If you don't know then give it a try! Here's a challenge for you: What do the words "Guten Tag" and "Bonjour" mean? You have a computer, find them out. Then, find a couple more words of each for me.You'll find some I know it.
Keep strong, PM and stay focused...and don't forget..water, fruit and keeping busy all hold the key to you stopping!!! :j
Hugs, Sue xxxWarez get you girl :T your doing amazingly well , part mouse keep strong you can do it . Myself well I'm now with no patches  and I feel like I'm starting over againI'm just hoping it doesn't last long because I don't think I can go bac to unsmiling me

Hi anablle! Whether you think it or not, you really have done so well and deserve so much praise which you'll definitely get from us, but you have to praise yourself too!! You should be feeling so chuffed at all you've done, really. Day one be jiggered, your stats are on your Title line!
You've gone so far now, too far to not keep going!!! Don't forget theQuitters Pledge"Today I promise not to smoke any cigarettes, tomorrow - if I wish - I may do."Renew the pledge every morning on waking and at any other time during the day or evening.
Please also reward yourself for how bloomin well you have done! You deserve something, even if it's just a little something to remind you of the distance covered...and the knowledge that if you've come that far you can keep going...a day at a time! :j
Keep striving, anablle!!! We're all right with you, but you know that anyway. Smile at all you've achieved - and by golly it's a lot, then smile at what you can do.
Hugs, Sue xxx
Here's another inspiring piece from warez to spur you all on, everyone! Please read from it - that's it really can happen for you too!!!

Excellent news, Part Mouse!!!!! :j :T :j I am sooooo thrilled at that!! It shows just how well you're coping and how strong you are!!
So, do you doodle with paper and pencil?? If so, put your mind to that and draw yourself something...NO..not a fag!!
How about a rose, either when it's out full or while it's still in the bud form. Have a go.
If that's not your thing then go to the bbc and look for the languages part and start to learn one. It's no good saying you'll never need another language as you just never know what's round the corner in life, PM. Go for it and keep that mind active - happy too as you learn to say another language which will give you a big
Well done!!!!!

Wow !!! didn't think I'd feel such a big difference without my patch scarey stuff taken me all my time not to cave in   x0

It's never easy at all for the first couple of weeks, anablle, especially when you're without any NRT, but long-term it's all over far quicker and to be honest, is more effective!
This is obviously something you really want...to be free, I mean, so keep right on pushing on with it now and it'll soon be all over and you'll be free for life!! Have you still got a PM that I sent you? If not then I'll gladly send another copy on.
I know you keep busy at work, but if the mind's not occupied fully all the time then naturally it'll wander off a bit? As soon as it does switch straight away to thinking or planning for a holiday..day out..shopping trip...learning something - anything to stop it going where (for now) it's been trained to go for so many years. Little by little, day by day, it'll happen less and less and the amount of time if happens for won't be so long each time either.
We've been programmed to think constantly about these blessed things that have ruled our lives, from now on you take control!! You alter the train of thought whenever you need to and be ready to switch instinctively!
Are your working hours the worse or the home ones? I know you don't do any exercise apart from all the exercise you do in work and at home etc, but it would be so much better if you only did 15 minutes a day cardio exercise, something that really left you puffed out and sweaty and as a result, you feeling so much happier.
Our next door neighbour does the same job as you (exactly!) and when she said she was stopping smoking I was shocked, however, she's quit now for a month and that'll be YOU soon enough.
I'll send the PM on again and please read it through, even tips like popping a small tube of toothpaste in your pocket so you can go into the loo and pop a bit on your tongue to freshen your mouth, will make your feel much better and a lot less feeling like a craving.
Have you tried warez's elastic band? If not then do so...and ping your mind away from 'thoughts'.
Whatever you've been doing and whatever you're doing now, anablle, you really are doing a brilliant job at sticking to this, so please, please keep battling on! A day will come (no - I mean soon!) when you suddenly find "I haven't even thought about one for a whole morning or day!" It'll really take you by surprise I promise you!!!
You and warez are at about the same stage, stick with her as she's doing marvellously, but then so are you!! Think of her..and know that she will be thinking of you! It's inevitable as you are both caring for each other and willing each other on..it's only natural.
Then think of me - the big ogre  - watching over you both with a huge eagle eye one watching warez - the other watching you! Imagine me as a boss-eyed monster - what d'you mean you already do!!!!
You're doing excellently, anablle, and so many of us..those lurking too..will be willing you to say "tara Nic..push off out of my life!"
You can and I'm sure you will - and one day soon you may be thinking 'thank Heaven all that's behind me now' you may even be able to help someone else stop!
Hugs, Sue xxx and have a lovely weekend...blast a few snowballs at the girls!! :j Whooops, nearly forgot to applaud you for how WELL you're doing..I couldn't let that happen! :T Go anablle! :TSealed Pot Challenge 001 My Totals = 08 = £163.95 09 = £315.78 10 = £518.80 11 = £481.87 12 = £694.53 13 = £1200.20! 14 = £881 15 = £839.21 16 = £870.48 17 = £871.52 18 = £800.00 19 = £851.022021=£820.26[/SizeGrand Totals of all members (2008 uncounted) 2009 = £32.154.32! 2010 = £37.581.47! 2011 = £42.474.34! 2012 = £49.759.46! 2013 = £50.642.78! 2014 = £61.367.88!! 2015 = £52.852.06! 2016 = £52, 002.40!! 2017 = £50,456.23!! 2018 = £47, 815.88! 2019 = £38.538.37!!!! :j0 -
