I started thinking about you guys after seeing some of the Stoptober threads and thought I better pop my head in the door to say hello - so glad I did now.

I have recently been on holiday myself which put me in a situation of being around a lot more smokers than I usually see in my day-to-day and I had a few 'what if?' sort of moments. Several times I felt that my resolve was weakening somewhat, so it's a good job we don't have too many holidays. :rotfl:

I am more overweight than ever and have lately given in to a larger dress size but still not excessive IMVHO and some of it is just winter padding. :rotfl: I have been doing Couch to 5K on and off these past few months, so overall fitness and wellbeing is probably better than it ever has been in the past thirty years as well. Just needs a bit more work.

Hello again, Kiwi, it's really good to see you! So, 993 days???! I think you're the first to put it down in days...but then there's always one.

Many congratulations to you on such great work - and for resisting temptation!! :T You really did so well there as I remember what it was like myself in the early years, but as you know, it goes in a flash.

All in all you've not done bad weight wise. Apparently myfitnesspal is another good site to use, that from a dear friend of mine. Keep safe and healthy over there in NZ.

Hi everyone,

Due to wanting more time with my family I am now closing the thread.

Throughout the last 5 years I, along with others have helped over 36 people to stop, it's been a wonderful time and a pleasure to see so many get the joy of knowing they too could and did beat the demon nicotine!

Please read it for any help and advice there's a lot of help available - and above all - never stop trying to stop, one day you WILL make it and be so very proud.
