Looking at your latest post, Rising, you really have done so well. I think so many folk believe they'll always miss it, but it really does happen! Now for former smokers to be able to be near smokers....well, doesn't that say it all!
Time and patience, folks, it'll happen for you too!
Don't forget us, Rising!
Sue x Chuffed to bits for you!
Hello there, IAASA! WOW...how did you get to 6 weeks so fast!! That's just the best news of today for certain!!! :T:T:T
You're doing darned well, especially in coping through it all when you're not working. It just goes to show what sterling stuff you're made of.
Little by little the further away we get the better we manage without it! Always keep in mind how well you're doing, IAASA, and allow yourself to be soooooo proud!

Thanks Sue, having money in my bank account at the end of the month is the biggest incentive! I cannot belive it, normally at this time I'd be scrabbling for money, I actually have some to spare! Not a lot mind you but better than before!!0

You just keep doing better and better all the time, IAASA, which is fantastic - especially for you!!! :j
Even though you're doing it mostly for financial reasons do be aware of just how much your health is gaining from it too, then always stay focused on that and all the benefits and how quickly they come about (on page 1) and you'll be quids in and so much more healthier.
Day 45 now!!!! :T:T:T So happy for you!

It's lovely to come back here and to see that people are doing so well, a huge congratulations to you all.
I've stopped smoking for 10 weeks now and I'm feeling such a sense of relief that those disgusting sticks no longer have that control over me. I haven't even had a puff of one in that time.
I'm exercising more, eating more healthily and drinking lots and lots of water!! I'm starting to look and feel better already.
Keep going everyone, we can do this!!0 -

Hi babes and what a joy it is to read through your post and see all you've discovered after finding, like I did, that there really is life to be had without fags in it!!
People seem to really come alive once they've given stopping a chance and got far enough away - and detached from those smelly dummies - and you are no exception. :grinheart
So, 10 weeks now and all goes well, absolutely fantastic, babes!!!! Congratulations on such great willpower!!! :T:T:T:T
Lovely to see you again.
Sue x
Where are you IAASA and anablle?? Both doing well I'm sure, but it would be great to hear, especially from you, anablle!
Sue x
Stay strong, everyone, it really does pay such huge dividends in being a former smoker.
If you haven't taken the leap yet, but are tempted, why not try it for a whole day...then a 2nd..and so on? There's nothing to lose, but oh, so much to gain!

Well I've had a pretty rough few days with some seriously horrible personal problems. Surprisingly though despite it all, I've not had a smoke! Was tough but I got through it!
I think it's day 50 but I'm not entirely sure!0 -
IAASA, you did fantastically and got through one of the hardest tests!!!! :T
To stick to it when you're highly stressed and all about you is going belly-up is such a HUGE achievement, but you did it and I'm hoping you feel so elated with yourself for proving you have such strong willpower!
Aside from anything else, if you'd said "oh to h*ll with it" and had one - it would have solved nothing! It would only have put you right back to square one IF and when you were able to get the motivation to start again.
BTW, you're definitely on Day 50....I checked above!
I'm so very proud of you, IAASA, excellent news which must surely have given you the desire to always keep away from them as they's have had you hooked in a flash.
Be proud and all the best that things will come good if they haven't already.

I surprised myself really tbh. But to begin with I was so wrapped up in myself I didn't even think about smoking and then during the aftermath it didn't even occur to me.
Yep, I think I'm no longer an addict. Woohoo!0 -
Sorry IAASA, I didn't know you'd replied.
Do be very careful not to become complacent, you're still on the pills and all of us, no matter who we stop, need to go a full year getting through all the normal everyday events of life before we can consider ourselves as having truly quit.
For now though - you're doing brilliantly and can proudly proclaim
"I don't smoke anymore." Or "I've given up smoking now."
Sounds good doesn't it!! :j
