Well had a relapse on friday and had 2 cigarettes could of kicked myself made the mistake of forgetting to put patch on.
I got up on sat and first thing i did was put a patch on. I am going swimming in the morning am actually going rather than just teaching it lol.
So stats say 98 cigarettes not smoked shame i cant edit to say 96. Anyway have fallen off the wagon but climbed straight back on. I am disappointed with myself but am also proud that i am not just quitting quitting. It is going to be a long hard struggle but in the long run will be worth it.sealed pot challenge 099

I hope you found the tips useful, idristhedragon.
You are doing so darned well, IAASA!! You treated your friend's OH's fags with the contempt they deserved and refused to let him get near you as you wanted to stay SAFE! :grinheart VERY WELL DONE!!! :T:T
A shame your DH had the 2 he had, but at least he was up front with it....and detested them!!!!! :rotfl: You're doing really well to discourage him - as well as looking after his health and your pockets!
Be very proud of you both!! :j I hope you're having a lovely Easter, DH & I certainly are.

All in all, shinner, you managed it well. As it was only 2, treat it as a blip and move on with the days being as they were. At least you realised the problem and dealt with it superbly!
It may be a struggle, but on how it'll be worth it!!Stay strong and keep patches in mind. Be proud of yourself.

Thanks Sue ,
I appreciate your support, Partner doesn't give me any and he is still smoking although i have got rid of the ashtray lol.
I even managed 1/2 bottle of wine last night and no cigarette :j stopped at half a bottle as could feel the urge coming. Was also sure if i went hunting i would be able to find one, so made a coffee instead.
thanks again Sue.

You're so very welcome, shinner.
I expect your determination to quit is stopping your DH supporting you, he possibly feels embarrassed at not having a go himself. He may even be envious!
However, YOU could be such a great example to him, just like 'Money maker' and many other wives have been to theirs. Say nothing and one day he'll most likely get the motivation to want to do it.You can then be even prouder than you already are for yourself!!
Be careful of wine as, if it's red, it can be a depressant, but if it doesn't have that effect on you then keeping to your normal lifestyle is good - so long as you know when to stop - as you did on Sunday.
You're doing really well, shinner! Stay strong and proud and never, ever give in! :grinheart

Wow, nearly 30 days since I last had a ciggy. :j
God I miss it still!!! I really hope that goes away soon!!0 -
Well, congratulations, IAASA, but you really didn't ought to be feeling that way - not on Champix! I don't understand that, I thought you were getting on relatively well.
D'you mean you still crave or you just miss the actual smoking?
Whatever the reason, think of how things might be in 'X' amount of years IF you still kept on with it.
Allow yourself the chance to move on as you are now, and be happy without them, or you could be in for quite a shock when you stop taking the pills!
You've done really well...be happy with it and be darned proud of yourself NOT being a smoker anymore! :j

I don't miss the actual smoking. I miss the long summer evenings in a pub garden with a ciggy on the go. I miss having a ciggy in the car when I'm stuck in traffic. Its only ever when I think about it!
OH and I were talking holidays last night, hoping that this year we might afford one, but OH then said that the best thing about going away was that it was always warm enough to have a smoke and drink outside!
Also we are both into stock car/banger racing. We haven't gone to any races this year because of the weather but when the weather gets warmer we'll want to go and its going to be strange sitting there around ALL those other smokers!!
But anyway I've woken up with a sore throat this morning. Joy, am on annual leave from work next week and I get a !!!!!!! cold.
It was the last cold I had that made me want to give up smoking because smoking with a cold is horrible and made the cold worse! So I'm hoping that I'll get through it alot better this time....0 -
Had another appointment with the nurse this morning. Blew into the thingy again and got a 0!! Was very pleased with that!
However I'm starting to get the feeling that it isn't a case of supporting me to give up smoking but merely giving me a prescription for more tablets and scheduling the next one!
I raised some concerns about the coming summer months and how that would be a difficult time for me and how I'm getting quite worried about it. And she simply said well that will be a test for you and that was it! Oh well hopefully the tablets will help me get my head around it. I just need to hope the warmer weather appears whilst I'm still on the tablets to give me the boost I need!. :A0 -
IAASA your doing so well :T I was exactly like you about the summer months to me it went hand in hand  but just try and change your mindset before we get the warmer weather and you will be fine you've got to far now to go back

Brilliant news, IAASA!!!!!!! That 0 was what I was waiting for and VERY well done you on getting there!! :T:T What a difference from when you smoked.
Congratulations to you both on a month fag-free!!!!! :T:T :j :T:T
I honestly don't think your CN is not being supportive, she simply want to get it through to you that it'll then be down to you to keep yourself from puffing - or wanting one - and it's true, she's quite right.
Re your post of the day before yesterday, it does come across as though you already believe you won't be able to stick to it, especially with your OH's words about going on holiday! If he keeps that attitiude.........what can I say!
ALL of us find it more difficult through summer months, it's only natural, but there are over 40 of us here on MSE who have proved that it most certainly IS possible to get through summers and holidays without the dreaded weed clogging up our lungs!
Put it this way, you and your OH will feel a darn sight better if you get through the summer months and go on holiday and then return - without having resisted - than you will if you go...and then ruin all the good work you've done by taking to it again! Your Dr or CN won't be very keen to dole out another lot of Champix which has been your saving grace. Read through your posts on here and see how marvellously you've done.
I think you are the stronger partner who is being swayed just a bit by the other, BUT can have the strength and willpower to see you both through the summer and having several months, without fags, behind you by the end of it. :grinheart
Prove me right, you know you can!
BTW That's great advice from anablle, it is all about mindset.
Hugs, Sue xxIAASA your doing so well :T I was exactly like you about the summer months to me it went hand in hand  but just try and change your mindset before we get the warmer weather and you will be fine you've got to far now to go backx
Hiya anablle!
You're doing so amazingly! Very well done on 3 weeks and 1 day!!!!! :T:T
You are so right about the mindset being the all important factor that gets us through winter and summer alike; at the end of it all, it's all about willpower and determination - also viewing yourself in about 10 - 20 years to see what fags may have done to us if we don't give them the heave-ho now!
Stay strong, anablle and remain in that great mindset!
Hugs, Sue xx
Have a wonderful fag-free weekend, everyone, stay strong and focus yourselves on what you want out of life and never put up with second best, you deserve far better!
