Hello gain, everyone, so terribly sorry not to have been on over the last few days, but I've been quite poorly. Still, I'm back with you now ~ hoping it's all still going well for you all. :)
    Done a year, Sue :j

The good news, is that DH is around 6 weeks into quitting cigarettes. Unfortunately he uses an alternative but it's all a step in the right direction and he's no longer banned from the house :rotfl:

Went into a smokers house the other day and recognised the 'sticky' walls and kitchen units. The build up of nicotine, the greyness. :(

Well done to those of you who have come so far over the last few weeks. It does get easier with time but this is hard to fully acknowledge in the early days
. Making the decision is probably the hardest part and all credit to you for making it for yourself. Incidentally I have saved £4459 on cigarettes although this is probably very underestimated as I know cigs have gone up.

    Well done you all

Hellloooo there, Money maker!! It was just sooo wonderful to see you back with that marvellous news!! :j A full year means you most definitely HAVE QUIT!!!!! :T:T:T:T:T You've been through an entire year of all the everyday events and coped admirably and I am so elated for you and so terribly proud of you and all your very hard work!!!! :kisses3:
    Very many congratulations! :grinheart

You've been a fantastic example to your dear hubby and I'm so chuffed he too has stopped......and for SIX WEEKS too!!!! :T:T:T Never mind that he's having help to start with, all he needs to go along with that is plenty of TLC and support which I know darn well you'll be giving him in abundance. Please congratulate him for me, Mm and feel so proud of yourself for helping him get to where he is! :grinheart

I love both of your paragraphs, they truly are so inspiring for the others to read and all those who watch the thread like hawks both now and those who do so in the future. Please, Money maker, anytime you have 5 minutes to spare, a few encouraging words will always be so appreciated. :)

    Hugs, Sue xx

You really are sounding so very pleased with yourself, IAASA, so settled into remaining stopped and having accepted it. I see you're hubby too is still with you and am delighted for you both!!!! :T:T:T:T Funny how the smell of other folk's fags can one minute disgust us the next....we just love it! Still, so long as we're never daft enough to want it in our lungs again, we're doing alright!!! :D Imagine your health now, IAASA, your pockets too!! :j Terrific work!

Hi there, anablle! No actual feelings about how you're doing so far then? Come on, let us know just how you're going too. :) Fantastic news on the 6 days so far!!!! :T

Brilliant work, babes, you've stayed really strong and I have a great feeling that you'll see this through! :T :T As you've passed on to the others in your post "Keep at it!" So thrilled for you!

    Sue x

Keep staying as strong and focused as you can, folks, you can get through it ~ if you're determined and have willpower and a real desire to STOP!!

    Sue x

Please everyone, have a look at Money maker's paragraph below (and her other quoted one above) and see if you're not encouraged to bin the fags ~ or at least try ~ one day at a time.

<<<"Haven't been on this thread for a while as tbh i've mostly forgotten about smoking! Funny how a habit you indulge in around 40 times a day, every day for over 20 years can be ditched and almost forgotten after a year. When you're a smoker you cannot see life ahead of you without your habit but it doesn't have to be that way.">>>

Oh anablle, that's great news and so worth shouting out to everyone else; it helps inspire others too which is really great.

I'm so delighted you've bitten the bullet and that you're already a whole week away from those nasty little beasts! :j

Keep going as you are, anablle, you're doing just fine! :T:T

Hi IAASA, and thank you. To the first quote - it just goes to show how quickly you lost touch with old nic when you need to come here to see what day you're on, brilliant. :D

I'm looking forward to seeing your CM reading too. The CN will be extremely pleased with you for sure. :j

Keep it going, folks, it's all so worth it and in your heart of hearts - you know so. :D Bon voyage.
