    Good Morning all.

Determined is quite right, IAASA and soon enough he will 'turn a corner' and be really pleased he kept up with quitting rather than go back to old habits.

Keep supporting and praising him, that really will help him as much as any thing else!

At least your dreams seem to confirm your longing to finally quit and the amount of pangs are definitely down to the Champix. All in all you're doing wonderfully well.

Have a good day everyone, a lovely start here in Somerset.

  • iaasa I used patches for the first few days just to take the edge off the cravings and then decided I didn't need them and went will power (don't listen to this anablle! You just use the patches for as long as feels right for you!), the time before that was solely this thread and CT so I know exactly how those cravings go. I guess for me I think it is a psychological thing. Meaning whatever means you go by its all about where you are focusing your mind. when I am thinking none stop about chocolate I am the biggest addict going, but when I say "no that's it!" and divert my mind it doesn't seem so bad.

Hope he has had a good day today - you too! x

Fantastic news, anablle!! :T So, all being well you'll soon be 24 hours without having a ciggy - right?! :D I'm so pleased you didn't wait too long before stopping again.

Stay very strong, keep off of the red wine and keep chatting to us as well as having girlie times with your friends; a good friend can be worth the world at such a time - use them!

Wishing you ALL the best to make it through, anablle, and you CAN!!

    Hugs, Sue xx

Excellently put, determined, keeping the mind focused for anything we really wish to succeed with is half the battle in achieving it.

But it's getting easier now! Going to attempt going out tomorrow night!!

Absolutely marvellous, anablle!!!! :j So, right now you're about 1 Day and 21 & 1/2 hrs then!!!! :T Not that I'm counting or owt like that! :rotfl:

Well done, anablle, keep busy and keep your mind focused all beautiful things, especially those wonderful youngsters! You're on the right road now, the one that leads you back to better health...and more money in your purse. :D

    But it's getting easier now!

Day 11, IAASA!!!! :T:T 12 now!! Marvellous work and very well done!

It's only natural to get a few 'moments' while you're quitting, but please believe me when I say that as you get further and further away the moments will get less and weaker and you'll barely notice them. They become fleeting flashes that are gone almost as soon as they come, truthfully!

You're doing so very well, now so if you do decide to go on out tomorrow night then enjoy yourself as you deserve it, just always be aware of others and remember that line "No thanks, I've given up"! ;)

    Stay strong and be happy.

    Sue xx

Please folks always add the amount of time stopped for (days with no cigs) and the means used on the Title Bar of each post as it helps you, me...and all others who wish to choose what's best for them! ie, on mine I would currently put 13 years 4 months, cold turkey. Many thanks.
